The week began with a simple gesture. Jaskalla wanted her students to know that she was a capable officer and that the students could look to her as a valuable resource on their root to being assigned to a star ship or station in the King's Fleet or other regional fleets or perhaps even Starfleet proper.
The pink uniform was supposed to just set Jaskalla apart as not assigned to a specific department and designed to associate her with her role as First Lady of the colony of Reykja Penthe. The problem is the form fitting and glossy uniform only excited the student media and for that matter the media proper in the King's Fleet.
A standard question was what does the latex uniform really mean about what goes on in the bedroom of the Governor and First Lady. History had already painted Branson as a experimenter and perhaps even deviant over her relationships with Betazoids and other races in the known worlds. Though this was full damage control and looked utterly innocent and truly romantic, it did not help matters. People have already decided. Branson had finally found her domesticated sow to serve as the perfect submissive wife.
