The Court of Public Opinion Empty
PostSubject: The Court of Public Opinion   The Court of Public Opinion EmptyMon Mar 09, 2015 7:44 pm

The week began with a simple gesture. Jaskalla wanted her students to know that she was a capable officer and that the students could look to her as a valuable resource on their root to being assigned to a star ship or station in the King's Fleet or other regional fleets or perhaps even Starfleet proper.

The pink uniform was supposed to just set Jaskalla apart as not assigned to a specific department and designed to associate her with her role as First Lady of the colony of Reykja Penthe. The problem is the form fitting and glossy uniform only excited the student media and for that matter the media proper in the King's Fleet.

A standard question was what does the latex uniform really mean about what goes on in the bedroom of the Governor and First Lady. History had already painted Branson as a experimenter and perhaps even deviant over her relationships with Betazoids and other races in the known worlds. The excitement over the uniform sent informants into a frenzy hoping to gather something kinky involving the governor.

Christine T'Nley and the Reykja Broadcasting Corporation who posted the image of Jaskalla Naar'Haaj with a bull style nose ring in her snout. The snout was the iconic connection with the Tellarite heritage; the part that remains unchanged coming out of Branson beauty surgery. Questions around what the ring might be used for. These questions have helped put the RBC back on top of the nightly race for the news audience.

Nicole was embarrassed by the image but more so embarrassed by all the time focused on her sex life with the difficulties associated with the Vulcan Purity Movement. Even the VPM have stated that had this act been between a pair of humans, there would not be the inclination to degrade one of those partners with a control device particularly a humiliating animal control device like a nose ring often used to control domesticated animal through intense nasal nerve pain.

Nicole tried to say that the image was taken out of context and was more about play than about control. Few were having it. Nicole was very sad that her lover was being subjected to all this criticism about being submissive to Branson. The whole event was totally untrue. The truth however has a play in the celebrity news game.

Jaskalla took control back in the evening by posting her own image showing herself waiting for Nicole Branson saying theirs was a relationship of love and affection and she was very proud to be the First Lady of Reykja Penthe.

Though this was full damage control and looked utterly innocent and truly romantic, it did not help matters. People have already decided. Branson had finally found her domesticated sow to serve as the perfect submissive wife.
