Today Is A Good Day To Die Empty

The King's Fleet has never cow towed to Starfleet or the Federation from the first breakaway in 2380 to multiple small fleet operations I. The 2390s but with the recent successful Romulan attack and the Deveniss truce with the Klingon ground forces, Admiral Illyan Coren and President Alexander Laree have agreed to a visit and inspection.

Security must be perfect. The Klingons will be close enough in the Beta Penthe sector to strike against the Federation. It was Nicole Branson who suggested inviting Chancellor neroQ to try to keep him on the station to prevent a Klingon attack. The goal was to use the Klingon as a human shield against an attack on the leaders of both Starfleet and the Federation.

For security reasons, the event was moved to Platform 2395. The Cardassian station was smaller and better suited for marine protection.

Since General Louis neroQ and then Betazoid Admiral Illyan Coren tried to create a temporal distortion that would lead to the House of neroQ ruling Klingon and the resurrection of Loiza Coren, the Klingon Empire and the role of Chancellor have been in a state of flux. Every house and every general has laid claim to the legacy of Kah'Less.

The rise of D'Vreenak Suran had made the Romulans the story but the Klingon destruction of the RomulaN Warbird has brought the Klingons back into play.

It is said that every Klingon starts the day with the warrior credo, "Today is a good day to die!"

On Stardate 72352.41, May 9 2395, Klingon Birds of Prey believed to be linked to the House of Kabarann launched on Platform 2395 with members of the senior commands of Starfleet, the King's Fleet and the civilian governments of the Federation and the King's Fleet colony of Reykja Penthe on board.

The station is a total loss and the survivor list remain unknown.

Perhaps for more than the Klingon Empire, today is a good day to die.
