Bridgette Tchilack has had a tremendously awkward life. The cheer leader was abducted in the Xindi Insectoid hybrid trials and lived as a freak before joining the King's Fleet. After multiple rounds of Branson a Beauty surgeries, she became more humanoid but still struggled with her bug like features.
She thought she had found an accepting partner in Dennis Warren. Dennis did not seem to care about her bug like features and had been her partner aboard Thandie Varno's Archangel.
Bridgette had even seen her career status improve as Thandie's Executive Officer. She and Thandie had become close. They were friends.
Bridgette walked on to the bridge on a late night shift to find Dennis thrusting hard into the Cardassian commanding officer. Thandie screamed out, "No, Jet. I never meant for it to be like this. It was an accident."
Bridgette packed her things. She had to leave the Angel.
Mickey Todd was not bored with Tania. She loved her Borg Dusconnect partner but she missed marine action. When General Brown called to brief her on the Medara situation, the Antican General offered her a Captaincy and a unit if she came to Carlisle. There were fears that Starfleet may put boots on the ground on the tiny asteroid world. Michigan Todd knew that a long distance relationship was not possible so she and Tania shared a tear filled bottle of wine and a tender kiss goodbye.
Jet was a fine pilot and without Mickey, the Tanmesad needed a non-Cardassian on the helm. Tania invited the Xindi hybrid to join the Federation Cardassian project. Tania conducted the ship orientation herself. Bridgette candidly explained why she left the Archangel and Dennid's betrayal. She spoke with sorrow about her Insectoid features.
Tania explained that a lot of the research and even a lot of the coding used by Nicole Branson in her doctoral thesis on beauty enhancement she had gleaned from working with the Borg Nanites discovered in and around Tania's own structure. Tania told Bridgette that she may be able to help improve her appearance by assisting in the programming of her existing Nanites.
Bridgette was game to try anything. Bridgette looked in the mirror after waking up. She looked more like a fairy than like a bug. She started to cry. It was positively amazing. Bridgette turned to Tania, standing naked in the Tanmesad med bay, "There is one catch. I know about the hormone limitations. I know if the humanoid hormones are not kept active, the non-humanoid features will overpower the Nanites, Biology beats technology."
Tania looked at her creation and then made her move. She pushed Bridgette back.
"What are you doing?", Bridgette asked.
"Helping you out,", Tania's face disappeared between the legs of the new flight commander.
Bridgette moaned, "What's in it for you?"
Tania lifted her face, "Making you happy."
Bridgette moaned, "While you've certainly brought a smile to my face."
