Not a Good Time for Change Empty
PostSubject: Not a Good Time for Change   Not a Good Time for Change EmptyMon Jul 05, 2010 7:33 pm

John paced back and forth on the bridge of the Quasar Quest as T'Zohl entered, "What is the matter, Captain?"

"There have been some significant changes on the surface.", John frowned.

"I was told by the Vulcan Consulate that the senior Vulcan Officer is now T'Loridel.", T'Zohl knew it would poke fun at her Captain.

"As have I.", John frowned. He did not tell T'Zohl that Lori had told him that they could not be seen together in her new post. John, a man of little emotion ~ almost Vulcan like in his own right, was deeply hurt.

"What does this mean for us?", T'Zohl asked.

"Some changes on the surface have forced a reorganization in the task group.", John explained.

"Kitty LeReins has accepted a position on the Caitian Homeworld and is taking her "Joy" with her. Commander Harriman had already resigned her office on the Archangel and was planning to serve in the Phoenix Defence League but will leave for Cait immediately. This left the Archangel and Captain Turin without an Executive Officer. The role will now be filled by D'Solos Vreenak.", John continued.

"The Romulan!", T'Zohl interrupted.

"A hybrid.", John corrected.

"Perfect.", T'Zohl paced now too, following her Captain.

"Harper Todd will join the Prometheus as her Chief Engineer. He is from the Providence and a great one. He will bring Felicity Powers from the surface to run Operations.", John looked at his duty roster.

"The go-go girl! The escort!", T'Zohl snapped.

"Felicity is highly competent, despite her scruples.", John did not like the commentary from T'Zohl as he read through the roster. He glared as his First Officer.

"Because of losing the excellent skills of the Dogs of War, the Marines have opted for the formation of Marine Air Command, a fighter squadron. Captain Caleb Faulkner who helped investigate the Antican Shuttle Disaster will head the unit and has recruited Alexis Bladon to come down to the surface to help out.", John continued.

"Let's set that one straight: Two things: One, Alexis went to the surface because Rover Powers is gonna be Mayor of Paris. We all know that one. Humans are fools for romance and two, after the Borg Incident, Blade is useless as a fighter pilot. We know that.", T'Zohl continued to evaluate the changes. John was growing impatient with the Vulcan.

"Ensign Hyla Teero will join the Archangel as Chief of Operations.", John tried to get his briefing back on track.

"The Florist. John, we are up here at a time of high tension between the United Federation of Planets and the Phoenix Federation and the Daedelus Class has a Florist for Operations Commander. Don't you see that as illogical.", T'Zohl commented.

"Indigo Coren will become Chief of Operations aboard the Providence as Jo-Jo Viceroy becomes Executive Officer and Shianna Baxton becomes the Chief Engineer.", John continued ignoring his Number One.

"So, become a spy and get promoted. Vincent Viceroy has lost his mind. Jo-Jo betrayed the colony to Star Fleet and now she is the Executive Officer of the Rhodes Island Class. Worse yet, her moaning lover is the Chief Engineer and her biggest experience is being a shuttle pilot. What the hell is Vanessa is gonna do with a crew like that?", T'Zohl was getting rather heated for a Vulcan.

"Look, Commander. We must play the hands we are dealt. Things change. The colony is not a static place.", John looked at T'Zohl

"Captain, I have the USS Washington on the line, Commodore Paige would like to speak to you about refuelling the Washington at Governor's Station and registering a Flight Plan through the Phoenix Federation territory.", Giselle interrupted.

"See, we have work to do.", John smiled.

John looked at Giselle, "Ensign, acknowledge the receipt of the message. Inform the Commodore that we are in conference and will respond shortly."

"In Conference?", T'Zohl looked at Captain Warren.

"I just want my good friend Alex to stew about it a bit. He has had to swallow a lot of crow lately. It will be good for him.", John laughed.

T'Zohl shook her head, "Humans and their petty games. No wonder this colony is in such a dither all the time."

John and Giselle burst out laughing.
