"I am not prepared to be interviewed." Vincent looked at Erica.
"Look, it is a requirement that the senior Military Commander be interviewed." Erica responded.
"Interview Hunt, he is the senior Military Commander.", Vincent snapped.
"This does not have to be a confrontation, Admiral." Erica responded.
"Your wife was gracious enough to comply." Erica reminded Vincent of the Bobbi-Lee Kennedy-Viceroy interview.
"Hunt knows what goes on here." Vincent responded.
"So you do feel that President Hunt gives the colony the necessary support." Erica concluded for the first question.
"I am not being interviewed." Vincent walked into the Federation Complex and looked at Elora.
"Updates?" Vincent asked.
"Just an odd grouping of Zaranite scavenger vessels outside the Beta patrols. Maybe a conference or trading arrangement." Elora speculated.
"Would you normally inform the civilian government?" Erica slipped into question two with the ease of a career investigator.
"Not about that." Vincent played right into her hands.
"What is your opinion of Commander T'tan?" Erica asked.
"She is an opportunist who pounced when the colony was looking for a leader after Tabrine Mandu.", Vincent did not even realize he was being played.
"How will you respond to his conglomeration?" Erica asked.
"Have the Providence check it out." Vincent ordered "Vanessa has experience with the Zaranites. It's probably nothing."
"Will this affect your overall resources?", Erica asked.
"Not in the slightest, the King's are well equipped and well managed. John does a great job.", Vincent reminded Erica.
"What if the Zaranites were to attack, would everyone understand what to do?", Erica asked.
Vincent laughed, "The Zaranites are not going to attack. They would not be so foolish."
Erica laughed. The Zaranites are scavengers who were barely able to deal with the Rhodes Island Class, the Providence in early 2386. Why would they attack the Colony?
Vincent looked at Erica. He could feel her mood and approach changing towards to the colony.
"Have you spoken to Captain Montgomery about your progress?", Vincent asked.
"Not recently.", Erica responded.
Vincent loved the sound of that. He had every desire to throw this in the face of the punk kid who was trying to usurp power on the colony through these nefarious means.
"How will the colony be informed of its charter renewal?', Vincent asked.
"There will be a gala event. I have spoken to Mary-Lou Cole. She has agreed to allow us to use the Commune for the event.", Erica explained.
"This is a win-win situation, Rear Admiral Viceroy. Either the colony is absorbed by the United Federation of Planets and you remain as its senior military commander or its charter is renewed and you remain as its senior military commander.", Erica concluded.
"What about Nicole and William?", Vincent responded.
"There are other territories within the Beta Quadrant that are not in question or review, the Phoenix Federation (Williams) Accord remains a valid and working document.", Erica responded.
"So what you are saying is that the Federation wants the dilithium and would screw Vincent and Nicole to get it.", Vincent looked at Erica.
"I am not prepared to comment on the results of the report as of yet.", Erica responded.
"Enough said. This is over. Elora, please ask Security to remove Ms. Lavigne.", Vincent ordered.
"With pleasure, sir.", Elora responded.
