Salutations from the Station Empty
PostSubject: Salutations from the Station   Salutations from the Station EmptyMon Sep 13, 2010 7:28 pm

The Ishka quotas are unreasonable. These demands for providing dilithium to the Alpha quadrant have put all the cities under a major strain. Tabrine Mandu, the former Governor has been once again making a lot of noise speaking out against Ishka and even Cleveland Powers, the notorious gangster and Ishka ally has been speaking out against the Ferengi selling the very soul of the colony to the Federation.

The quotas have also affected the ability of the Phoenix Colony to provide Dilithium to its own ships. Tania and S'Ari were the only ones on the bridge of the Tanmesad at long range border patrol near the Beta Quadrant border when the ship gave a nasty burp. Tania grabbed the rail of the beautiful new bridge on the Dervish Class, "What was that?"

"We have inconsistent energy supply.", the Vulcan responded.

"Why?", Tania snapped.

"We turned over some of our supplies to the Omega Prime volumes to help Bill make his quota.", S'Ari responded.

"Whose idea was that?", Tania glared at the Vulcan.

"Carson's. He and Bill are friends.", S'Ari explained in a stoic Vulcan way.

"This has got to stop. Ishka is an idiot.", Tania barked. It is certainly not the first time someone has said that.

The Tanmesad suddenly lurched forward and then stopped. S'Ari looked at Tania, "Switching to Impulse Power."

"It will take us four months to get back to the colony on Impulse.", Tania snapped.

"When I see Ishka, I am gonna punch him in the head myself.", the Borg Disconnect complained.

"We need to get some alternate Dilithium. Put out the message...", Tania ordered.

Vash walked onto the bridge, "Why are we going so slow?"

"Ask the Governor? He gave our Dilithium to the Federation.", Tania stormed from the bridge.

"Ouch. She is not happy.", Vash observed with a smile.

"Look.", S'Ari showed the stars barely moving on the main viewer.

"I have sent out a request for more Dilithium but we are on long range patrols. It may be several hours before someone shows up.", S'Ari explained.

"Salutations from the Station.", a voice boomed across the comm-link.

"Summer?", S'Ari responded.

"There are no seasons in space.", came the voice back.

"Who the hell is that?", Vash asked.

"I have no clue, Gul Enranet but they are speaking in Federation Standard.", S'Ari observed.

"Search the origin of the message.", Vash ordered sitting in the Captain's chair.

"It is coming from deeper in the Beta Quadrant.", S'Ari explained.

"Why would they hail us?", Vash asked.

"Perhaps they were responding to our message?", S'Ari observed.

"What is Dilithium?", the message boomed once more. They were obviously not able to control their modulations when jumping across networks.

Vash looked at S'Ari, "Halt all communications. Report the discovery to the colony and get us some dilithium on a secure channel."
