Nicole and Magenta stood on the front stoop watching the frozen streets melt and the snow slowly disappear as the Phoenix Colony moved from the paralyzing cold of the Transfer Turbulence. Nicole smiled and rested her head on the shoulder of her beloved Magic, "Springtime is so beautiful."
Magenta looked at Nicole kissing her on the forehead, "It is the time when a young girls' fancy turns to love."
Elora Vasa pulled up in a hover car, "Nicole, you need to come to the Federation Complex."
"What's the problem?", Nicole asked.
"You just need to come.", Elora responded.
Nicole got into the vehicle and they streaked off for the center of colony culture. Nicole walked into the room. She was surprised to see John Warren standing with Vincent Viceroy.
"Gentlemen, what is it?", Nicole asked.
"The colony is thawing. The mission was a success.", Nicole smiled.
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.", John quoted one of the basic laws of physics.
"What are you saying?", Nicole asked.
Vincent walked over to the HUD and activated the image search, "When we accelerated the reaction within the sun, we created a series of solar flares. These flares affected the upper atmosphere of the Klingon world of H'Atoria. This atmospheric interference resulted in a violent, violent hurricane. The hurricane filled with the orange hue of the mighty star of Lambda Hydrae, the Klingon sun ripped onto shore destroy the coastal city of Borg'hel."
The images were horrifying. Nicole covered her face in shock and dismay. She looked at Vincent, "We did this?"
Vincent looked at the ground, "We did this."
"Does Acrylos know?", Nicole answered.
"At this time, no.", Vincent frowned.
"Does General Kabarann know?", Nicole asked.
"She is aware of the incident but has not yet made the link between the rescue incident and the catastrophe.", Vincent explained.
"Have you informed the Romulans?", Nicole asked.
"Governor D'Solos Vreenak has been briefed on the incident and the cause.", Vincent looked at Nicole.
"We need to make sure that the Klingons do not believe that the Romulans did this. It would greatly affect the tensions in the region.", Vincent briefed the former Governor.
"Has Hunt been told?", Nicole asked.
"We believe it is better to keep the President in the dark on this one in case the Romulans or the Klingons start asking questions about whether or not this was deliberate.", Vincent explained.
"Understood.", Nicole explained.
"Offer General Kabarann our very best wishes to her people and to the empire.", Nicole looked at the devastation of the hurricane over and over.
"Captain Warren, please take the Quest and all medical personnel from the McCoy Hospital to H'Atoria.", Vincent looked at John.
"Yes, Sir.", John responded.
John knew that their motives were correct but their ends did justify this. A few extra months of the cold were not worth the devastation that was being replayed over and over on the Klingon world of H'Atoria.
