D'Solos Vreenak is no fool. Through her father, she was able to manipulate the Romulan Empire and trick the Klingon Empire into bending to her will in order to establish the colony position in the region.
Recent politics have shown how much she needed Nicole Branson in her hip pocket in order to be successful in the "House that Nicole Built." D'Solos and Waverly Wayne attended the Omega Academy together and were good friends. Wave and D'Solos hatched a mirror of the civilian-military government of the historical United States of America.
D'Solos Vreenak would support the dividing of the powers of the senior military management into Chief of Staff Positions for the Ground Forces and Colony Fleet. She would then create a Commandant of the Marines position to handle the management of the Phoenix Defence League. This military force would report to a Chairman of the Joint Chief. D'Solos would restore the military rank of Admiral Nicole Branson as a Rear Admiral and she would become the face of the military on the colony surface.
D'Solos would promote Colonel Taryn Strausser to Commandant of the Marines and have the Colonel report to Brigadier General Belvedere Brown. This movement would allow Major Tanus to have 100% control over the Dragons Special Forces Unit. The Major would then be responsible for the tracking mission for the Klingons on the Togre Reservation.
D'Solos drew some heat for selecting Taryn to head the Dogs of War but D'Solos believed in Strawberry and her abilities. Only time will tell. D'Solos promptly made Waverly Wayne the Secretary of Defence and gave her the Marine Ambassadorial Rank. Waverly would then report directly to her on the activities of all branches of the armed forces.
Governor Vreenak made her announcements from Wells City as a guest of Rear Admiral Vermont Viceroy. The colony political structure is changed again. Evolution means change. If you are standing still, you are not growing.
