Lavender spent the morning reading up on the human holiday of Christmas. She left the Academy library and went over to the Federation Complex to see Nicole. Nicole was still dealing with the traumatic memories shared during the kiss at RICKS. She saw Lavender but avoided the cadet heading straight into a meeting the Joint Chiefs and a briefing on the Klingon Troop Positions.
Nicole came out to find Lavender sitting there still. Nicole still tried to avoid the Betazoid student. Nicole headed straight to her office. Lavender followed.
"I have been doing some research on human holidays.", Lavender looked at Nicole.
"I am fascinated by the shared gifts and goodwill of Christmas.", Lavender smiled.
Nicole thought of being raised in foster care after the death of her parents. Some of the best memories are surrounding Christmas. Nicole smiled, "I have always taken gifts around here on the colony as well."
"I remember the St. Nikki article from the Omega News Network archives.", Lavender smiled.
Lavender looked at Nicole, "All I want for Christmas is you..."
Nicole looked Lavender and then walked from the room. She did not understand these feelings. This was a very weird situation. Lavender looked so much like Magenta.
