Vincent and Nicole flew on the shuttle back to Omega Prime. He dropped her at the house. He watched her look back longing and alone. Her soft wave touched his heart. He knew how hurt that Lavender had made her. He knew the pain she was in. He waved but knew it was of little comfort.
Vincent walked to Governor's Tower, the space elevator to the station. The polymer tether still creeped the Commodore out. It was funny but the molecular decombination of a transporter did not scare him as much as the super fast polymer transfer of Governor's Tower. Within an instant, he was on the station.
Vincent waved to John as the Captain of the Quest entered the lounge. He entered Station Ops, "Has anyone seen Commander Paneera?"
"The commander is off this morning. She said she wanted to prepare a surprise for the Commodore.", the officer did not even look up to realize it was Vincent.
"Thank you, Lieutenant.", Viceroy responded firmly.
Vincent went walking down to the quarter he shared with Brooklyn Paneera. He opened the door and stepped inside, "Brooke?"
"In the living room.", came a sultry whisper.
Vincent smiled. He was still stressed and pissed off about Commander T'tan. Imagine calling the Vulcan, "Your Highness".
He stepped in to see a beautiful Christmas Tree. He looked at the tree, "You did this?"
"Yes. I thought a little piece of Earth would be a nice touch.", Brooklyn smiled.
"No close your eyes and I will show you your present.", Brooklyn remained hidden behind the tree.
"Wow!", Vincent smiled as his four armed beauty used the lower set of arms to raise her skirt to reveal... nothing covering her inside.
The old boy sprang to life. Vincent grinned, "Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas, Commodore", Brooklyn giggled as her man crawled on top of her.
