S'Lynna is a student reporter, a cub if you will. Her job is to cover the basics of life on the colony for Christine T'Nley. She is not supposed to break the story.
S'Lynna was only going to the Academy offices to ask Chancellor Nicole Branson, the basic Dean of the University if her writing would count for credit towards a Phoenix Fleet officer status. S'Lynna wanted to know about a Phoenix Federation Commission as opposed to being Uhlan S'Lynna of Vulcan.
S'Lynna was stunned to find the place in horrible disarray. There had been an obvious struggle and it appeared that Chancellor Nicole Branson had been kidnapped or worse perhaps killed.
S'Lynna contacted Captain Leo immediately and began to try to understand what happened. Captain Robert E. Leo has been a huge part of the colony. He was one of the original inhabitants of the city of Omega Prime. It was his job to establish law and order on the colony; something he took tremendous pride in.
Over the next few hours, they would learn that the Klingons had taken Chancellor Branson but they had no clue as to where she has been taken or why?
S'Lynna would discover that Lt. Lavender Coren's name still appears on the Starbase 234 Manifest. Lt. Lavender Coren of Star Fleet Intelligence provided the schedule of the Chancellor. Lavender sold out Nicole AGAIN!!
Nicole awoke to the foot of a Klingon soldier slamming into her ribs. It transferred through her body with a pain that is almost indescribable.
Nicole lay there bleeding from the mouth. Lavender came in and picked her up and laid her across her knees, "I do love you Nikki. I needed to love you but what you have done to the Coren family is unforgiveable. You have to pay for a crime."
"They are Klingons.", Nicole mumbled, her voice muffled.
"They killed Magenta.", Nicole started to cry...
Robert Leo looked at S'Lynna, "Where the hell are they?"
