Valerie Bell made the first report to the surface about her missing children Lyris and Jenerica Bell who was suddenly missing from the Diana. Valerie was horrified that the two young girls had been taken. The incident was reported on ONN with the Retarnee promptly rearing their ugly head to take credit for the abductions.
Within hours of the first report, Selena Leo, commanding officer of the Plato's Academy reported several key crew members as missing including Veronica Viceroy and Bullerton Brown. These students were simply gone. The Retarnee promptly took credit for the abductions as well.
This is the first time that the Retarnee have jumped into the fray in a while. With all the chaos surrounding the Federation claims on the colony, they have once again used it as an opportunity to inflict some further damage.
Nicole and Auburn returned home from the Colony complex to discover Brenna Montgomery also missing. Nicole was frantic. She ordered Vincent to activate the entire fleet to rescue the children from Straninburg. Vincent at first refused calling the action too aggressive but when he learned that Veronica was also amongst the missing, he promptly stepped up the actions.
Vincent informed the Governor and asked that Admiral Dominic Montgomery be informed that the Colony Fleet, the King's Battlegroup were about to engage the Retarnee at Straninburg on the fringes of the Amanda Corridor. Vincent demanded that Vreenak also inform the Romulans and the Klingons. The colonists were going to rescue their children. No matter what the cost.
Dominic knew this was the opportunity he had been waiting for. He would have ease of access to Outpost 395. The Federation would be able to take back the precious colony and its Omega enriched Dilithium and Truteum reserves.
Captain John Warren took his charges to Straninburg to retrieve the children. The Retarnee promptly withdrew their claims to the abductions but threatened to defend themselves. The incident grew very very tense.
The USS Washington and the Killer's Battlegroup engaged the colony at Governor's Station. This was the first all out battle during the recent tensions. Commodore Tan and Commander Summer Vasa used all the defences at their disposal on the station but the station did sustain some significant damage.
The two battlefronts were tearing the colony apart as the second unit in the Killer's battlegroup engaged the colony fleet near Straninburg. With the Federation joining the Retarnee at Straninburg, the Retarnee also started to cause incredible damage on the ships of the King's battlegroup.
This was truly going to be the end of the Phoenix Colony. It was over! The two front war had saw the Washington leave Governor's in a horrid mess and now the colony's defence fleet, the King's Battlegroup was being routed by the Federation and Retarnee Fleet.
The Akira appeared out of nowhere with strange Star Fleet Markings and bearing Star Fleet Logos on all decal locations. The USS Quasar Quest was about to be destroyed by a Retarnee vessel when the Star Fleet Akira dove on the Retarnee vessel destroying it with a very powerful cannon. No one had ever seen such immense torpedo power. The destruction of the Retarnee ship brought the battle to a slowing halt.
A voice boomed from the Akira, "This is Vice Admiral Brenna Montgomery, Fleet Commander of the King's Unity, Protectors of the Amanda Corridor, Star Fleet 2450 ordering all Star Fleet Vessels to stand down."
There was a long pause. The ships were clearly calling Dominic and Alexander for advice. The Akira was clearly bearing Federation Markings and Star Fleet Beacons.
"This is Admiral Dominic Montgomery. I have reported the Temporal Incident to Star Fleet Command but will comply with the orders of my counterpart Vice Admiral Brenna Montgomery. All Federation Vessels will stand down and return to Starbase 234. I demand a face to face meeting with Vice Admiral Brenna Montgomery and her crew and a formal explanation from the Phoenix Colony.", Dominic shouted on all channels.
What the hell had happened here? The children were back... But NOT AS CHILDREN.
There was going to be a lot of explaining to do on all sides. The Retarnee had suffered losses. The King's Battlegroup had suffered big time damage. Governor's Station was left badly damaged. Now we have a new mess to deal with.
Life on the colony is never easy.
