It is a simple as genetics. Anticans and Caitians do not get along. We are cat like and they are dog like. You cannot go against nature. I met Rockford Towers when he was assigned to our department after the arrival of the Antican refugees. I immediately felt an ire for the Antican and when I learned that his rank was greater than my own I was most furious.
I wanted no part of any association with the promoted Antican and I could care less about his experiences at Can City. I was more mortified to learn that the Antican had been assigned not only to my detachment but I had been assigned to "show him the ropes" so to speak.
To my surprise and as evidenced by our response the Felicity Towers request to go to the Governor's Mansion, Rockford Towers is not only a fine officer, he is a fine man. I have grown to respect him immensely and see him as more than just a partner but as a friend.
In light of the new threat weilded by his community, I am honored to know that we have an honorable member of the force in their inner circle and a man with a true understanding of this General Robespierre and the serious danger he presents.
