The Omega Academy has produced some of the finest officers in the King's Battlegroup and the Phoenix Fleet including graduating the outgoing governor D'Solos Vreenak, Captain S'Nii, Commander D'Tall and now Lt. Commander Selena Leo who leaves command of the USS Plato's Academy and will take command of the USS Eagle as reward for her service to the Academy Flagship.
The daughter of Galley Leo and Jessamine Leo is now a full fledged commanding officer. This event was spawned by another graduation of sorts. The Cardassian community has long moved towards winning a more significant role in the governance of the colony. More and more Cardassians have moved to the region as an openness comes from the Hebetian Government of Cardassia. This has created a large and effective voting block.
On March 31, 2391, Legate Thua'ra Varno became governor of the Phoenix Colony becoming the first Cardassian to hold the post. The Cardassian and Commodore Vincent Viceroy met for several hours. The Commodore needed to know about his future as Secretary of State. Vincent was assured by the Legate that no change in military protocol at this time.
The change on the Phoenix Colony could not have come at a worse time. The Retarnee have now entered the Alpha Quadrant. The Betazoid Defence League has reported that the Retarnee Fleet has occupied the planets outer realms and has taken steps to take Corinthian Station and this would effectively give them control of the planet below and provide a launching pad for a full scale invasion of the Alpha Quadrant. The news reached Starbase 234 shortly after the losses at Betazed.
Commodore Elizabeth Coren came to Omega Prime to meet with Nicole Branson to beg for assistance. The loss of Betazoid is now assured. The Phoenix Federation is also confirming that William Hunt has been contacted at New Terra to ask for assistance as Star Fleet losses continue to mount.
President Hunt is confirming contact with Governor Varno and Commodore Viceroy about using the King's Battlegroup in defence of the Alpha Quadrant. Captain John Warren confirms asking Captain T'Zohl to join him on the USS Quasar Quest. The flagship of the King's Battlegroup has now left its long range beta quadrant patrol of the Phoenix Federation and entered the Alpha Quadrant. Captain John Warren, long known as a Federation rebel, is now engaging the Retarnee in the Alpha Quadrant.
Dominar Cillian also confirms that the Hynarian Fleet is now preparing to enter the Alpha Quadrant in support of Star Fleet. Cillian confirms that the Hynarian Fleet will use Terok Beta as a refuelling station when leaving Beta Cormac. Cillian confirms that the Caitain Galley Leo has assumed command of the station. The Hynarians are thus far the only race to have successfully engaged the Retarnee Fleet scoring a victory over the Straninburg Home Fleet in Beta Carmac.
Movement towards Earth has begun. President William Hunt confirms that the Black Dragons Battlegroup has launched from New Terra. Star Fleet and the Phoenix Fleet are both confirming that the USS Black Dragon has been seen in the Alpha Quadrant.
Governor Varno now confirms that the USS / CGV Tanmesad has left for Cardassia Prime in preparation for war in the Alpha Quadrant. The galor class flag ship has also confirmed contact with the CGV Gulad, flag ship of the Hebetian Government of Elim Garak. The Gulad is now headed for Earth in defence of the centerpiece of the Federation.
Against the orders of Commodore Viceroy, Captain Dawn Keystone and Commander S'Nii have taken the USS Eagle into the Alpha Quadrant. The old Miranda class is now entering in over its head. Dawn served as John Warren's first officer. It should come as no surprise that she has disobeyed orders to do what is right.
Things have begun to fall. Once the dominos have started, it may be impossible to get them to stop.
