Tim had travelled to the Village to see to day to day activities since the "death" of Marcus Dinn. He never realized what was playing out around him. His concern was making sure the business of business kept functioning on the colony.
Eugenio was furious with Elizabeth's betrayal and with the happenings on Second Corinthians. He hated Nicole for this. He blamed Nicole for this. Eugenio's rage took him to Starbase 234 and the renovated scavenger base. Rear Admiral Eugenio Coren and Commodore Dominic Montgomery promptly announced that they had assumed command of the Omega Fleet's central station.
Tim was furious to learn of the claim and furthermore of the claim that the Omega Fleet would be following orders from a Montgomery and a Coren. Admiral Veltkamp called their claims unjustified and filed a protest with Admiral Hunt and Commodore Viceroy.
Vincent confirmed with Cohen, Enranet and Keystone that the ships would only respond to Star Fleet orders provided by the office of Admiral William Hunt or the Phoenix Fleet orders provided by Vincent himself or King's Fleet Task Force Commander Captain John Warren. Rear Admiral Eugenio Coren was acting of his own accord. He was on his own.
Veltkamp almost immediately began plans to retake the station. He had been in contact with several ships.
Vincent secretly wished Marcus Dinn would suddenly reappear so that the colony politics could be back on stream. He knew that was just a pipe dream but he wanted it to be true...
