Lisa came home late again. I confronted her about the Skye Green situation. She admitted fully to enjoying the company of the doctor. We ended up screaming at one another. I told her that I thought that I had found love with her.
She told me that she thought she found a place where her lifestyle choice, my genius and my successes would be appreciated. I could not believe it when she took her stuff. She looked back, "Perhaps the doctor is in."
I followed her to the Leonard McCoy teaching hospital. She screamed, "What are you going to order me to be your partner, Vice Admiral?"
I was horribly embarrassed and slumped down on the grass in front of the hospital. I was sulking when Dr. Orchid Coren came over and sat beside me. She looked at me and smiled, "There are many fish in the sea, Nicole."
I literally started laughing.
I looked at Orchid and asked her if I could buy her a coffee at BLACK. She smiled and we started to walk down the parkway.
I have to say I turned back to see her looking out the window watching me and Orchid walk down the parkway. I know she looked.
Orchid looked at me, "I like men."
The blunt statement sort of flabbergasted me. I smiled, "I am not flirting, doctor. I am enjoying coffee."
We both laughed.
