"Why is it so important?", Acrylos looked at Tegora.
"The Betazoid Alliance only wants the best for the Bajorans of Ephyra.", Tegora answered.
"You are lying, Tiger!", Acrylos looked at Tegora.
"Look, the information about the Betazoid need to occupy the Garden of Bajor is classified. I am not going to be grilled by you, Ace. I am here to teach Physics to your Star Fleet Students.", Tegora retorted.
"No, you look Vasa. You are all the same. You play it on both sides. Elizabeth parades the Trill around until Nicole finally gives in. Elora and Raine are commanding King's Fleet vessels and yet you are still screwing with us. What the hell is going on?", Acrylos glared at his on again off again girlfriend.
"Ace, I can't.", Dr. Tegora Vasa looked at Teero.
"Get out of my lab.", Acrylos shouted.
"Please, Ace.", Tiger looked at the Bajoran.
"Get out! Nicole is my friend.", Acrylos repeated.
Tegora left. Acrylos could hear her crying. She came back a couple of minutes later holding a tree limb.
"What is that?", Acrylos looked at Dr. Vasa.
"Proof.", Tegora looked at Acrylos.
Tegora put the log into a clear glass chamber and lit it on fire.
"Ohhh A campfire... Lovely.", Acrylos thought of his childhood on Bajor and sitting by the fire.
"Combustion is one of the primary sources of energy in the universe. All creatures, throughout their evolutionary development has lived in the quest for fire. In the words of the caveman, 'I have made fire'.", Tegora explained.
"So what?", Acrylos looked puzzled.
"When the wormhole opened at the time of the Omega Explosion, the atmosphere of Ephyra was irradiated by the Omega. That Omega was infused into the most combustible substance on the planet. On the Phoenix, it was sand. On Ephyra, it is the trees in the Garden of Bajor.", Tegora explained.
She took the ashes of the burned up log and poured them into a beaker. She then put the beaker on a scanner, "Computer, Analyze."
After a couple of seconds and the infamous beeps, "12% carbonized wood waste and ash. 88% Dilithium"
"What? How is that possible?", Acrylos screamed.
"It is Ephyra. The Garden is a special place.", Tegora explained.
"This is why the Betazoid Alliance wanted Ephyra. Access to the Dilithium.", Acrylos bluntly announced.
"It gets better.", Tegora announced.
"Trees are renewable. On Ephyra, they grow in 3 to 5 years. This is the mother of all energy sources in the Alpha Quadrant and it is UNDER Betazoid control.", Tegora grinned.
"Because you stole it from us. Does General Nerah know?", Acrylos demanded.
"He is being briefed as we speak. This must be kept confidential. The Klingons and especially Legate Anwar will want Ephyra for sure now.", Tegora explained.
"Does Viceroy or Branson know?", Acrylos asked.
"No. This is not a Star Fleet or King's Fleet matter.", Tegora looked sternly at her lover.
"I am King's Fleet.", Acrylos glared back at Tegora.
"You are Ephyra now. You will be bound by General Nerah's gag order, Colonel. You have already been busted down in rank three times before.", Tegora warned.
"What are you doing?", Tegora rushed towards Acrylos as he touched some buttons on the console.
"Transferring this whole package to Governor's Station. You are not a benevolent associated, Dr. Vasa, you are an occupying superpower.", Acrylos glared at her.
"I showed you as a lover and a friend. Why would you betray that?", Tegora glared at Acrylos.
"This is not about love or friendship, Tiger. This is about security. If the information falls to the Klingons, Romulans or worse Legate Anwar, Ephyra will be a target. We have to... We ALL have to prevent that.", Acrylos warned.
"I trusted you.", Tegora stormed from the room.
In the corridor, she tapped her combadge, "Admiral Amulette Laree, the information has been transferred."
"Thank you Dr. Vasa. The King's Fleet will now protect our assets. The plan is working perfectly.", Amulette responded.
"And what of Elizabeth?", Tegora asked.
"She is okay on the Governor's chair... For now... Soon, we will need that too.", Amulette announced.
