"What the hell are these people celebrating?", Christine wondered aloud as she looked into the glass of ale.
She looked up at Jess, "The King's Fleet and these people, they have always thought of themselves as bigger than they are. There are only six ships. This colony is insignificant. Do these people think that a supply of Dilithium makes them valuable? They are fools."
Jess looked at Christine, "Let them have this one. They deserve this. This colony has lost 1/2 its territory. The colony has been occupied. The colony has lost its station to the Cardassians. The colony deserves to have a party."
"And celebrate what? The delusions of grandeur of Admiral Vincent Viceroy, the overzealous stupidity of John Warren or the sheer ignorance of Nicole Branson.", Christine mocked.
"All of the above. Some of the above. Who cares?", Jess snarled right back.
Christine looked at Galley as he came out, "Why are you smiling?"
"Food is plentiful. Bajoran Wine is wonderful. The colony is vibrant and defended. Smile, Romulan hybrid. We won this one.", the Caitian smiled.
"I wish I could smile.", Christine looked back, "But I am a realist."
