Tania had spent the morning with Dr. Maya Coren. Maya told Tania that she had spoken with Illyan and had decided that the Betazoid interests and expressed desires to control the Omega Sands are better served by limiting the associations with the King's Fleet and the Federation. Maya told Tania that she was breaking off their relationship.
Tania was at Leo's sitting in the back of the lounge drinking a glass of wine when Colonel Zoe Beamon came in. She too was feeling hurt and wanted to blast Tania for the behavior of her daughter Nicole and her flaunting of her new relationship with Major D'Tall.
Zoe sat with Tania and they swapped the stories of their losses. Tania had lost so much to the Borg. She had lost the chance to watch her children grow up. Zoe dreamed about her Bolian heritage having been raised by humans. The pair talked about Admiral Vincent Viceroy and their deep love and respect for Admiral.
Zoe even talked about the sexual relationship she shared with Admiral Viceroy. Zoe listened to the special relationship between Captain Ivan Younger and then Commander Tania Branson. The pair then talked about sharing a deep love for the female gender. Zoe even talked about having sex with Nicole Branson. This was something that Tania was not too fond of.
The pair then sank into their second bottle of wine and began to talk about loneliness and the blues. Zoe put her hand on top of Tania's and told her that she did not have to go through this pain alone. Zoe had come in here hoping to destroy Tania and by proxy Nicole but instead she felt a tremendous kinship with the Commodore of the King's Fleet.
Tania could feel the situation heating up and told Zoe that she needed to get some air. She went outside into the courtyard. She sat down on the cold concrete and looked out at Ephyra City. Tania was stunned when a totally naked Colonel Zoe Beamon came walking around the corner. Having seen the pictures of D'Tall and Nicole on the BBC, she wondered if anyone could see them. She wanted to be professional and send the Bolian away but she wanted, no she needed the warmth. She could not help herself.
