Anora had called Acrylos about helping her file a formal protest against the movement of Omega Sands from the Phoenix Moon to Betazed. The protest would mean speaking before the resolution tribunal delegated by Star Fleet. Anora wanted the great architect and former Bajoran Fleet Commander to stand at her side.
Acrylos had refused. Anora could not understand how the legendary Bajoran could abandon his post so readily. Acrylos could not lie to the grand dame of the Bajoran medical community. He invited her over to his house to see the problem.
There in the bed sleeping was Coral Callico, the sister of former Omega Academy graduate Catherine Callico and a student. She was tired from a night of love making with the Bajoran engineer.
Acrylos looked at Anora, "If I go before the tribunal, they will assuredly try to discredit me and my relationship with a student will destroy any chance you have of success."
Acrylos looked at the floor. He was embarrassed. These types of relationships are what Nicole Branson does, not what he does. Anora was furious, "How could you?"
"It just happened.", Acrylos frowned.
"If Admiral Coren gets control of all the Dilithium out of the Omega Sands, it will be your fault.", Anora grossly overstated the facts but the words were very hurtful.
Anora stormed from the room. Acrylos undressed and nuzzled into next to his Caitain partner. Coral grumbled, partly awake, "What is it?"
"Nothing, sweetie. Just business.", Acrylos did not want to burden her with the problems of Bajoran politics.
Coral rolled over and pressed her buttocks against the Bajoran engineer. Acrylos loved the feel of his nubile young partner felt against his skin. Coral reached down and slid off the pink boxers she had worn to bed after showing the night before. She nuzzled in against the Bajoran once more.
Acrylos knew this was wrong. He knew this was taboo but as he slid into his Caitain mate, he did not care. He did not care about Bajoran politics. He did not care about social convention. He cared about only one thing.... Coral Callico and how she felt.
As he finished up, Coral rolled back around and kissed him on the mouth, "Not every girl gets to make love to her hero each and every night. I am luckiest person in the universe."
Acrylos looked at Coral, "I love you."
Coral was stunned, "For real."
A tear streamed down her cheek. The young engineering student hoped to get a chance to be close to Acrylos even for a few moments. She never dreamed of him ever uttering the words from her dreams.
"I love you too.", Coral announced.
