"Why the hell would the Romulans back Propeya Pan'Taar's bid for Governor?", Christine looked at Vincent.
"It will be clear soon enough?", Vincent looked at Christine.
Vincent walked into the conference room. Nicole Branson followed closely behind.
Popeye looked at Vincent, "What the hell is she doing here?"
"You said you would be providing critical information to the destruction of Third Corinthians and Starbase 332. The civilian investigation should be privy to any information.", Vincent smiled.
Commander T'Ros once commanded the Romulan Task Force known as the Eagle's Talon. She was feared in the Alpha Quadrant. She gave that up to found the Romulan Colony of Vorta'Rome in the Beta Quadrant. She was feared for the power she was able to wield.
The Retarnee took so much from everyone. Ephyra is a garden. It was supposed to be a rebirth. Nicole and Vincent were going to fix everything.
This is a mess. They have fixed nothing.
Olive came in and sat next to Popeye. T'Ros stood up, "We wish to call into question the Governance of Illyan Coren. We have evidence that while in authority as Fleet Admiral for the Betazoid Alliance, his military authority destroyed a Betazoid Station and a Federation Station killing more than 1000 personnel and civilians. The Romulan Star Empire formally requests that the government of Illyan Coren be dissolved and we announce our support for the Tellerite Ambassador Propeya Pan'Taar. The Tellerites are a founding member of the Federation and would serve as a fine example to the region."
Marcus Laree and Elizabeth Coren walked into the room. Elizabeth smiled and looked over at T'Ros and then at Vincent.
Marcus stood up, "The Betazoid Allliance removed Admiral Coren upon learning of the incident. We were waiting for further evidence before going public with our claims."
Vincent stood up, "Admiral Coren will you speak in your defence?"
"Not Admiral!", Marcus interrupted.
"Upon learning of the destruction of Third Corinthians, I immediately contacted Admiral Vincent Viceroy who put me into touch with Admiral T'Ora. The Vulcan head of Starfleet and Admiral T'tan met with myself and Vice Admiral Elizabeth Coren. Admiral T'tan and Vice Admiral Elizabeth Coren concocted the plan.", Illyan explained.
Marcus looked at Elizabeth, "What plan?"
"We informed the Romulan Empire that they were not suspected in the incident. We informed Commander T'Ros and she arranged for the incident involving the Prince Edward and King William. The Romulans knew about Propeya Pan'Taar's aspirations and knew that Olive would confirm the incident.", Illyan continued.
Marcus glared at Elizabeth, "What the hell?"
Elizabeth looked at Marcus, "The Coren family built First Corinthians orbiting Betazed. It was the legacy of Illyan and your own House, Alexander Laree was there, Marcus. You took that from us when you chose to sacrifice Third Corinthians to further your political aspirations. You killed people. You are a Betazed. Did you not feel their pain!?"
Marcus looked around the room, "But you agreed! This would finally discredit Nicole Branson. She would be finished."
"Penny, Olive and Rosalie have shown me something else. Nicole cares for this colony. She has found love and contentment in Dr. Prang'Laar. She gave up the chair of Governor to catch a killer. She proved herself in that. I thought that all she wanted was the power. The region is safer in hers and Vincent's hand.", Elizabeth looked at Marcus.
Propeya glared at Olive, "You told them!"
"Penny and Rosalie are my sisters! They were going to take down Colonel Teero! As a pilot and engineer, I could not have one of the great minds of the 24th century taken down by Admiral Marcus Laree and his politics.", Olive looked at Popeye.
Penny stood up and pointed at her sister in a sign of respect.
Admiral T'Ora looked at Marcus, "Surrender peacefully or else."
Marcus pulled a phaser. He shot himself in the head. Elizabeth screamed. Despite everything they had been lovers.
T'Ros looked at Vincent, "There is the matter of the role of Governor."
Illyan interrupted, "No formal documentation was ever filed. The Governor of the colony of Ephyra, according to the Federation Charter, is and has always been Nicole Branson. It would have been a simple check. Marcus would have been able to see the rouse."
"Not as easily as you might think.", Caitlin Wu got up from her chair in the conference room and headed out.
