Nicole walked in on Rosalie packing. It was a very similar scene to the one that had played out with Olive only a few days earlier. She looked at Rosalie, "Where are you going?"
"Back to my ship.", Rosalie announced.
"But what about us? What about the picture that has caused on the curf-fuffle", Nicole looked at Rosalie.
"There is no us, Nicole. The picture was only a means to show Olive that I too could do what Penny had done. I too am a proud member of the Prang'Laar family. I honored Penny's memory by bedding her lover as any Tellerite would have done. My oath is now fulfilled. I am returning to my ship.", Rosalie looked at Nicole as Nicole started to sob.
Nicole had truly believed that Rosalie could be the one to mend her broken heart and to help at least temper the Black Widow curse but instead, Rosalie was gone again. Nicole was left alone again.
Vice Admiral Nicole Branson contacted Governor Vincent Viceroy to resign her commission as Fleet Commander, content to simply run the Academy in her sorrow. The King's Fleet lost its leader to the bitterness of the end of this relationship.
Vincent will be left with a very tough choice. Who will lead the King's now? Nicole is incapable sitting on her back porch in tears....
