Acrylos travelled to the moon. The steam engines had only been running on Ephyra for a few days and the environment had already become almost toxic with the dark smoke of all the engines. Colonel Teero needed to be able to generate some of the energy here on the Phoenix Moon or his success was going to turn the Garden of Bajor into a smoke filled industrial waste land.
Acrylos met with Commodore Tan and Summer Vasa about his plans to alter one of the processing plants to produce steam and then to use the steam to try to extract an Omega Enriched Dilithium Crystal to help power at least a portion of the surface grid.
Tan offered the crew of Clint Eastwood. The Talosian and his crew worked feverishly to literally tear down the inner guts of one of the Dilithium processing plants. He built a large scale monster of his Ephyran Reactor. The monstrosity looked horrid. Acrylos was embarrassed. He had built legendary buildings including the infamous globe offices of the Phoenix Colony, all the way to the amazing main building of Star Fleet East and now he had also built this.
Acrylos stood with Commodore Tan as the mighty building shook violently as steam under pressure began to move through her pipes. The sound and the smell were horrible. The black dank smoke from burning the heat source to generate steam began to billow out of the mighty building. Clint looked at Teero, "Don't worry, Colonel. We will keep her running. It is what we do. We Talosians survived a 1000 years of Iconian occupation to come here. This is still a paradise for us."
"You are a good man, Foreman.", Teero shook the hand of the blue feathered bird man.
Acrylos and Commodore Tan went to Phoenix One, the main tower in the Dilithium Processing Plant. Tan looked at Teero, "Do you think it will work?"
"It has to, Commodore. The Quest flying is an achievement, but the Fleet flying is a success.", Teero looked into the processing core.
"It won't be enough to keep us going long, but it is better than being defenceless.", the engineer looked at the Heirarchy Clanner.
"We are back in business now.", Teero put the sample into the bag.
Tan looked at Acrylos, "Well done, Ace. Well done!"
