The Kitsune lifted off from Ephyra without any problems and started making her way out of the system when a emergency message came in from Starfleet Command outlining what was transpiring at Starbase 756. "God damm that Nicole and her band of idiots doesn't she know that there is a time and a place for everything and she's just making herself look like an incompetent bitch." she replied to Admiral Joseph.
"I agree Sam, Command wants this dealt with quickly before the council gets wind of another uprising with her. Bad enough we had Hunt to deal with all those years ago. Thank god he left the political field and his group moved on to the Delta Quadrant to set up shop giving us back all the space they took but Branson is trying to be another Hunt and we can not have that. " replied the Admiral.
Samantha stopped to think about Hunt's brother Alex who is living on Earth now and married to her sister. "What would you like me to do Admiral?" she asked wondering if she shouldn't just blow the station to hell and call it a weapons malfunction and solve all her problems at the same time.
"Samantha we are promoting you to the rank of Commodore and assigning you as the Regional Flagship for the sectors that contain the Camelot Colony and Starbase 756 your welcome to do what you want. When you arrive you will be joining up with the U.S.S Chicago. We also have the Rhode Island and the Majestic en route but will not arrive for another few days. We have reports that the Quasar Quest is already on station and preventing the Chicago from approaching the station."
"Understood Admiral, McKnight out" Sam replied closing the channel. "Flight Ops this is McKnight An L-Hour has been declared Issue a recall of all personnel that is currently off duty and generate both Alpha and Bravo force fighters in configuration Gold. All Alpha force crews should be ready for pre launch mission brief in L plus 1 hour; the Bravo force should be ready to go on ground alert in L plus 2. The wing battle staff will meet in the Bridge Conference Room in 5 minutes. This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill."
The ship went to Yellow Alert immediately and the ships Artificial Intelligence began issuing orders to the rest of the flight staff and marine contingents aboard the Kitsune. The bridge doors opened a few minutes later with the Five Wing Commanders, the Fleet Operations Officer who is in charge of the fighters aboard the ship, the Marine Commanding Officer, and the rest of the bridge staff. "XO you have the bridge" Samantha said as she headed to the Primary Conference Room behind the bridge in order to begin her briefing. As she entered she saw everyone looking puzzled. "Ok everyone this is what we got...."
