Nicole was screaming as the Romulan soldiers took her children and placed them with the other children of New Cyndrial and herded the children to a seperate part of the quadroned off city. A Romulan soldier hit her in the face with the butt of his phaser rifle.
Nicole awoke about an hour later laying on the floor of her mining camp cabin. All of her things were all over the floor. The Romulans had been tearing through everything. They took everything they could find related to the governance of the colony.
Nicole could not find a communicator anywhere. The replicator had been turned right down for power demand. It could generate small meals and drink but nothing else. It could not generate anything related to construction or weaponry.
RDTV was reporting the occupation of Cheron IV. The network was also reporting the installment of Praetor T'Ros as Governor of the Internmnt Camp and the selection of new Eagle's Talon Task Force Commander Saehir Marrus as commanding officer of Starbase 756 which will be given a Romulan name as well and will serve as the primary trading location between the Romulan Star Empire Empire and the United Federation of Planets.
Praetor T'Ros also has formally announced the suspension of all King's Fleet operations and declared its membership illegal. Admiral Vincent Viceroy will become the primary representative of the interned citizens of New Cyndrial but will have no formal authority over any vessels or marine operations. Praetor T'Ros has declared any vessel with King's Fleet signatures to be rebels and to be destroyed for acts of treason against the Romulan Star Empire.
No one has seen the USS Vulcan Victory and it is believed that the ship is lost. No contact has been made with Captain S'Nii of Vulcan since the Romulan Invasion.
The last sighting of the USS Trojan War, the Miranda Class Training Vessel under the command of Trainee Osama Larle was last seen heading for Federation Space. Student Monica Pan'Taar was also on board the vessel at the time. Nicole has not seen her since the invasion began.
When the withdrawal began, the USS Providence loaded up as many marines as possible and was also last seen disappearing into the Alteraan Expanse. No one is certain which units survived the brutal Romulan ground attack or who was on the vessel, but at least there is some resistance out there in the Expanse.
The IRW Hawk's Eye was very badly damaged in a brutal fire fight with the USS Quasar Quest. The damage inflicted by the amazing flying of Commander T'Zohl and the fighter squadron under Tchilick Tchilack will be added to the legend of the Double Q. The Quest then withdrew to Federation Space, inflicting the only significant losses on the Romulans during the invasion.
Captain John Warren also ordered the withdrawal of the USS / CGV Tanmesad under the authority of Gul Vash Enranet. The tiny Galor Class is no match for the Romulans. The vessel is aso available should a liberation plan be started.
The Jem'Hadar under Vorta Avril Sunshine have simply diverted their mining coordination to Governor T'Ros of Romulus. Avril is quoted on RDTV, "Nothing changes for us. We work for whoever is in charge."
Governor T'Ros has imposed Martial Law. There are Romulans on every corner of New Cyndrial. An emergency meeting between Admiral T'Ora and the Betazoid Alliance is being held at First Corinthian's Station orbiting Betazed. Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets have been offered a continued supply of the enriched Dilithium in exchange for other concessions in the Neutral Zone.
In the words of Admiral Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar, "Its just Branson, Viceroy and the insignificant King's Fleet. Things are back to normal in our space. I am not prepared to risk any resources or to threaten the tenuous relationship over the Neutral Zone over a bunch of nobodies."
