"These squirmishes are so dangerous. They are a risk to manpower and resources.", Colonel Belvedere Brown addressed the senior command.
"The Romulans are not a direct threat to the colony or even to the neutral zone but they continue to expose our manpower to the potential of injury or death. What we need is something to spook the Romulans.", Brown continued.
He spoke for about an hour about the guerrilla war with the Tal Shiar.
Henrietta and Acrylos were walking the corridor when Hattie looked at Ace, "Do you remember when you activated the avatar program for the entire colony processor?"
"Yes. Why would you bring this up?", Acrylos looked at Hattie.
"What if we activated an existing avatar using this program?", Henrietta looked at the Bajoran.
"The resultant avatar was so large, it could not actively serve the colony and had to be shutdown. How would that be effective?", Colonel Teero looked at his protege.
"Are you familiar with the Earth legend of Goliath?", Hattie asked.
"The avatar has no physical form. It would hardly be intimidating on the battlefield. The Romulans would only see it as a big HUD image.", Acrylos frowned.
"What if we used biotechnology to advance the Avatar program using the technology gleaned from the Borg. A really big avatar would create a tremendous sense of fear in the Romulans.", Hattie offered.
"I just don't like mixing the technologies. The avatar would then have emotions and also run the risk of being hurt and because of the size would be very difficult to treat medically.", Acrylos warned.
Henrietta secretly met first with Colonel Zoe Beamon about Samantha Waaren and then with Major Tanus who was very excited about the availability of a Goliath on their side.
Against the wishes of Colonel Acrylos Teero, Dr. Henrietta Hatherton activated the biotechnology necessary to give Samantha Warren, her Frankenstein Goliath life.
Samantha stood high above her reanimator and put her hand on her chest to feel.... Her heartbeat.
She looked at Henrietta, "I am alive?"
"Yes and no... Well sort of... You have the memories and personality of Commander Samantha Warren but now you have the biological systems necessary to power a larger size life form. The real Samantha Warren has passed away but Major Samantha Warren is born today.", Henrietta offered a confusing answer.
"Are you ready, Major?", Colonel Belvedere Brown looked at his new battlefield tool.
"Damn straight! I am alive. Time to start living.", the Goliath marine announced.
