Waverly looked at the PADD. She took a deep breath. It could not be true. It just could not be. The Talosian reviewed the orders assigned to the Romulan ships and addressed to James Garfield. Waverly has been very closely monitoring the projects of the major players in the neutral zone since her "fake" marriage to Nicole Branson.
Waverly knew she should just put the PADD of the Talosian Representative down. She slept with James. They have an arrangement. She thought they had acovenant but how did the former governor have access to direct Romulan orders.
Wave opened the documents to a startling renovation. The so-called Iconian rearmament was nothing more than a ruse. The Romulans had went to the very small remnants of the Iconian Empire and offered to rearm them to get permission to enter the neutral zone to monitor their activity in order to stay close to Starbase 756 to monitor not only the activity of the King's Fleet but also its parent organization, Starfleet. Waverly was stunned. The document talked about the installation of James Garfield as Governor in exchange for key information about the burgeoning Latinum mines and the civilian government.
Waverly had burned Nicole. She sent Mac to Starbase 756. She criticized Nicole for eyeing up the cheerleader. Waverly had told her that they were finished.
Now Waverly was going to have to go to Nicole to tell her that she had been used and worse yet, that she had been duped by James Garfield and the Romulans, She had f**ked Garfield. She had f**ked everything up now.
She was going to put on her best dress and go to see Nicole.
Hopefully, she will listen.
