On the day after the Omega Academy Prom, Vincent Viceroy made the formal announcement of the Phoenix Peace. Vincent was very pleased with the results of the rise of support for Caitian Politician Tabrine Mandu and the resulting waning of support for the zealot Khaman Tol.
With the loss of the zeal in his fighters, many with the same dream as Vice Admiral Branson and Admiral Tim Veltkamp, that the colony would serve as a beacon, as a home for those who had grown tired of the wars of space, of the penchant for racism and / or racial superiority. Here we are something better, here we are only citizens of the Phoenix Colony. Here we are home.
Vincent Viceroy also acknowledged the contributions of Antican Attorney Cleveland Powers who came to help with the negotiations after the moderate Tabrine Mandu came to the table as well as the contributions of Dr. Spyro Ottoman, the Antican Physician who brought a special dignity to the negotiations under the membership of his powerful lobby group, Doctors Without Borders.
Vincent has offered formal citizenship to Cleveland Powers and announced that the Phoenix Colony will now recognize the Moderate Tabrine Mandu as Mayor of Cairo. Khaman Tol is most welcome to remain on the colony but his authority will be limited to head of the Pharoah's Church. It is unclear of his future intentions.
Vincent offered his thanks to Captain Robert E. Leo and the Omega Prime Emergency Services for their ongoing support of the in-theatre peace process including removing soldiers from the battlefield and more importantly for putting out the fires and restoring any damage. Vincent specifically mentioned with high praise the contributions of two men, Gideon Leo, a Caitian Fire Chief and Harrison Andre, an Antican Fire Chief for their efforts to protect civilians as the minor squirmishes are quelled. Both men have been offered citizenship for their heroics.
Vincent offered thanks to Vice Admiral Branson for her assuming responsibilities for the Omega Academy Commencement Ceremony in his absence.
Vincent then proclaimed,
