"There are at least eight ships.", Summer announced, "They are on an attack vector for Darona and bare the markings of the Retarnee."
"Inform Admiral Viceroy.", Tan ordered.
Vincent and Farrah stood in the colony complex looking at the star map. Vincent looked at Libby, "Inform Captain Warren to head for the Lancelot Line and await further instructions."
"Wait, secretary.", Farrah also took great pleasure in belittling Libby as to her role in the complex, "This works in our favor. The Darona Fleet will be badly hurt by this attack. They will likely win given the distance travelled by the Retarnee but their losses will be measurable."
"People will die.", Nicole walked into the room.
"Madame Mayor, this is a colony governance concern. Your services are not required.", Farrah mocked.
"People will die.", Nicole repeated.
"Thank you, Parrot.", Farrah mocked.
"Continue with my orders, Libby.", Vincent ordered.
"Aye Admiral.", Libby smiled.
"I have spoken to the Betazoid Alliance. Elizabeth will support my decision not to get involved.", Farrah looked at Vincent.
"Do the right thing, Vincent. These people may have a beef with us and even with the Alliance but they did not give rise to the Retarnee, we did. We brought this horror to their house.", Nicole glared at Farrah.
Vincent gasped. He had to make this call. Farrah was his lover and the governor. She had the support of the alliance. Nicole however was right. Darona did not deserve this fate.
Vincent tapped his co badge, "Suggestions?"
Tan sighed, "No one should have to pay a price for our sins."
John interrupted, "I just wanna kick some Retarnee ass."
Farrah looked at Vincent, "This is a political matter. More military input is not required."
Vincent repeated, "Dev?"
Deveniss announced, "You have my support, Admiral."
"If we do not act soon, intercept will be impossible.", Summer announced.
Vincent rubbed his face. Farrah looked at Viceroy, "You are a soldier. This will weaken our enemy. This is the correct approach. Leadership sometimes requires the tough decisions."
"If we sacrifice our integrity for politics than the founders of the Federation are disgraced. Captain Warren, you and your vessels are good to go. Engage the enemy. God bless the King!", Vincent ordered.
