Nicole started screaming when she heard the Captain D'Tall had found the Tellarite Farrah Azoone in a pod near the destruction site of the USS / CGV Gaavrin. The discovery of the young lady in the wreckage of the Keldon Class Cardassian vessel restored Nicole's hope that her mother could be found alive. Tania Branson had offered to sacrifice her life for the betterment of interplantary relationships but Nicole held out hope that her mother would somehow be found alive.
The discovery of the young Tellarite made this seem even more possible. Nicole and the young Fallon Azoone went to Observatory 642 to talk to Farrah. If nothing else, the beautiful young Tellarite could tell her about the end of the Gaavrin and help Nicole put the end of her mother's life to rest.
Farrah told of the horrors of the Keldon Class being ripped apart by the weapons fire from the Tanmesad. She told about the heroism of Captain James Washington who put her in a pod. Nicole offered Farrah a chance to come to stay with her. Farrah smiled but she was looking for another chance to be aboard a ship. She had been in the Troi Institute. She wanted to be in space.
The news of the discovery quickly spread to Tellar Prime. General Francesco Azoone was overjoyed to hear that his Farrah was alive. Not so overjoyed as to leave his duties and come to Medara, but overjoyed nonetheless. This is why Fallon lives with Nicole. Francesco is a service first man who had children hoping for a male heir. Francesco wanted to show his joy so he sent Azalia Azoone to express his excitement.
Azalia is his trophy wife, a waitress who he turned into a First Lady. She is very beautiful and offers him two things - one an attachment to his youth - he could still land a beauty and the image of virility for his people and his men. If he could land such a beauty, he must be a man's man. Azalia stayed with Francesco because he could give her security and authority.
The girls despised Azalia. She was everything they disliked in their father. He was all about image and placement. Farrah was not very happy to see Azalia but the pair kept up the public image.
Azalia then went to the surface to the home of Nicole Branson. Azalia was told by General Azoone that part of her responsibilities on Medara and in Camelot was to appear in public to show his virility and his ability to woo a young lady and to visit his children, the surviving Farrah Azoone who had become a Tellarite hero after surviving the attack on the USS / CGV Gaavrin and to see his other daughter, Fallon Azoone living in the infamous blended family of Nicole Branson
The truth is Libby Gral had changed since leaving for the TSS Skalaar. She had become more aggressive, more argumentative and in truth, more Tellarite. Nicole was unhappy with her new, but old love. Libby wanted to extract revenge on the Klingons for their attack on the Skalaar, for the blockade of Tellar Prime and was always so angry.
Azalia was soft and gentle. She only chose to be with Brig. General Francesco Azoone for the influence and safety that she felt with him. She came to see Fallon but was very impressed by Nicole. Soon the pair were talking and given her history, soon Nicole and Azalia were doing way more than talking.
This is going to be a mess. Farrah may have been found but perhaps Nicole has found something else.
