Lt. Commander Ophelia Masters is the Federation Appointed Morality Observer now assigned to the Phoenix Colony after the incident in the Federation Complex. Ophelia has been spending time with Nicole Branson and in particular with Erica Lavigne, Branson's court appointed parole officer to see if Nicole's actions were a violation of her parole. Nicole was distraught over the observer being on the planet at all.
She had not seen Orchid since the incident and travelled to the Village to meet with Dr. Coren. Orchid was sitting alone in the park.
Nicole tried to touch her but Orchid moved away. She already had trouble with her feelings for Nicole and with the embarrassment of the incident, she wanted nothing to do with Nicole.
Orchid looked up, "Have you met Ophelia?"
Nicole had and had been grilled by the morality officer.
"They might take away my medical designation if I don't behave.", Orchid started to cry. She had worked so very hard to become a doctor.
"They won't.", Nicole tried to shrug it off even though she too had been told that they may take everything from her as well.
"We cannot see each other anymore. EVER!!", Orchid blurted out.
Nicole tried to hug Orchid. She just moved away.
Nicole sucked her tears back as she got back into the taxi. She licked the salty tears from her cheeks as she waved to Orchid who just looked at the ground.
