The destruction of the first Borg Cube by the USS Quasar Quest has once again made the King's Fleet a darling amongst the regional authorities. Admiral Sonjac Naar'Haaj himself paid a visit to the senior command to be briefed on the Vorg and to acknowledge the efforts of Captain John Warren and the crew of his ship.
When Admiral Naar'Haaj arrived he brought with him a couple of gifts. The first being the Prometheus class medical vessel. The ship is very close to the original Archangel and it was the decision of Admiral Deveniss that it be christened as such. The current Archangel will be christened as the USS Lindsay Viceroy. Vincent was moved to tears after learning of the name change.
He was left out of the discussions between Admirals Deveniss and Tan and Captain Warren so the announcement would truly be a joyous one. Vincent was very pleased at the choice. The admiral choked back tears as he read the announcement.
Vincent looked over at his Chief of Staff when Admiral Deveniss announced Commander S'Nii as her commanding officer. The Vulcan had been Lindsay's great love. Who better to protect her legacy. The move sent spirals through the King's Fleet after Commander S'Nii confirmed Tasha Viceroy as her executive officer. Raine Vasa was devastated when she learned that her longtime lover had chosen to continue Lindsay's legacy with the Vulcan S'Nii. Raine was left devastated and alone.
The second gift from Admiral Naar'Haaj was no gift at all. This was a request to take on unacceptable students. Sonjac asked Tania and Nicole to take on the biproducts of some unglued research that would make the terrorizing Dr. T'Waak experiment that created Commander Dawn Keystone. Colonel Tchilack has confirmed the existence of the positively Frankenstein experimentation on DNA involving the Xindi Insectoid and other races in the known worlds. The students, Xact (pronounced Zzz-act) Tchilack, an Insectoid Edosian hybrid, a multi limbed creature that is beyond description. The hideous thing was presented to the King's Fleet.
The other student request was Thanius Tchilack, a more palatable hybrid that Xact as Gorn and Insectoid mixture. Thanius is quite a gentleman and an improving pilot. His raised eyes and more reddish appearance have made him an outcast as a Gorn and he cannot be accepted even as a Xindi Repetillian. He will be a fine fighter pilot and a good find if the students will accept him.
Tania was a bit reluctant until Elizabeth stepped forward, "The Betazoid Alliance will provide additional fighter vessels to the Hive if the King's Fleet supports the new students."
Nicole whispered to Grace, "Having your father rammed up inside must have knocked some sense into the President."
Grace giggled, "You are nasty."
It had been too long between since the King's Fleet had had some good news. Today is a grand day.
