Varen was walking down the corridor of the Tanmesad. She had come to grips with the punishment for her crimes against humanity as the Vulcan Emporer and was coming to grip with her association with Gul Enranet and the Tanmesad stance against Empress Gowan both for Cardassia and now for peace in the region. It was difficult to see the former tyrant in this light.
She noticed Gul Varno wandering down the hallway. Her own feelings of sadness over his demotion and the demotion of her Vash over the prejudice associated with the loss of the Snake Pit was a very new emotion for the Vulcan survivor. She wanted to speak to Varno directly; to express her own feelings of comfort for the aging Cardassian. She walked towards the black clad officer.
Varno looked at Varen V'Ros and in a swift motion drove a dagger under her ribs, "What I do I do for the citizens you hurt in your reign of tyranny. I am righting a temporal wrong. You were dead. You should have been dead. You will be dead again."
Vash came around the corner to see Thua'ra with the Vulcan in his arm, "No, Thua'ra, not like this!!!"
The green hue of the Borg transporter appeared and Gul Thua'ra Varno walked into the arms of Empress Gowan Garak of Cardassia. Thua'ra turned back to his old friend, "Our demotion is proof they will never accept us. We are not part of them."
He looked at Gowan and back at Vash, "So we will make them part of us."
Vash fell to his knees, "No!!"
He pulled the repentant Varen up and held her to his chest. His black uniform became soaked in her blood as she bled out on the floor. She had been twice slaughtered for her sins. Vash kissed her on the forehead, "Rest in Peace."
T'Ken, the daughter of the regional Romulan Praetor is a prize in the region. She is being used to manipulate a huge empire. She is being used to control her mother T'Ros. She walked into the bedroom she shared with the Cardassian Empress Gowan Garak. Gowan lay on the bed leaving T'Ken oblivious to the horror of the Tanmesad. T'Ken came in and slowly removed the black panties of the hybrid empress. Gowan sat up as the Romulan goddess went between her legs.
Thua'ra Varno slowly walked in with the stealth of the Obsidian Order. The Cardassian slipped up behind the oblivious Romulan. He removed the dagger, still bloody from the execution of Varen V'Ros for her crimes against all citizens. The Cardassian plunged the dagger down through the top of the skull of the Romulan literally spilling redness between the legs of the empress. In an act of sheer terror, the Cardassian darkness spread to the hearts of these two evils as Varno crawled over the slumped and deceased body of the Romulan T'Ken. Varno spread the legs of the empress and merged their superpowers for all eternity.
Gowan had manipulated T'Ken into killing Dut'Kanna leaving a grieving father and a shell of a man as the Chancellor of a failing empire. It did not take much convincing to have the generals of Klingon chose to follow her especially after promising a strong warrior to lead them. Gul Varno is now General Thua'ra Varno and the defacto head of the Klingon Empire.
Empress Gowan Garak is not foolish enough to dethrone Chancellor Kabarann but her actions have rendered him a virtual eunuch as the Cardassian Union rises once more out of the ashes.
The Union once sold its soul to the Founders and their Jem'Hadar warriors rendering them the eunuch in the relationship. The Union once lost its authority to govern to some soft Hebetian democracy artisans but this too has gone by the wayside. Cardassia is once more the power controlling the Klingon Empire and the region.
There remains one thorn in the side of the burgeoning empire. The buffer states of the Beta Penthe system. With a figurehead Klingon in charge, the Klingon colonies will fall into place even though they know they are defacto Cardassian sub states. The problem is the Federation charter issued to the King's Fleet and the colony of Reykja Penthe. This is a beacon for anti Cardassian sentiment. This can not be allowed to exist.
