Saehir has been working in operations on the cha'paj and dotting all over Deveniss trying to get him to forget her defection to the Romulans and the murder and mayhem she caused.
She even got Ishka to host a gala celebration of the Branson Bisect to acknowledge her history of positive service. She has been wearing revealing outfits and working near the Selayan Admiral. it is almost pathetic to watch.
The old Selayan was beginning to waver until he got a late night call from Monica Montgomery complaining how tedious and boring Gareb Trmel was. She called the Andorian a foolish puppet of Admiral Trmel Shah and brazenly spoke of his presidency as a rouse to get Shah and the Andorians control over the Klingon Empire.
Deveniss left for the wej'veQ shortly after to meet with Viceroy. Perhaps the Andorians had no intentions to take Reykja Penthe but just needed to be close enough to place marker bouts for an advancing Andorian Fleet.
Perhaps getting Gareb Trmel the presidency was just part of the plan to establish the the invasion. It is very sad but in the past five years, the Federation presidency and in fact the seat at the head of Starfleet Command have been used to further multiple planetary and systems agendas. The Tellarites are the most recent example.
Vincent was not keen to listen to his old friend. He and Tan were enjoying being released from the burden of overall command. Dev begged Vincent to get the Lindsay to do a recon flyby.
