Saehir was already in a bit of trouble with Carleton Porter after the engineer T'Bil was observed watching the construction of Reykja Qam'Chee. Carleton accused the Romulan of monitoring the development of the city state for the purposes of espionage.
Saehir, in true Romulan fashion, did not deny that she was doing just that. She simply said the enemy is so close that all personnel, including Carleton should be concerned about their activities. She accused the former Governor of being falsely superior adding that he and Acrylos were close and he would have the advantage in knowing the enemies.
Carleton reminded Saehir that Klingons on the colony were not the enemy but rather co-inhabitants. S
Saehir laughed, "Location does not change status, Mr. Porter."
After Padme T'Nley did an expose on the differences between Vulcan and Romulan culture and proposed that the working relationship between the Vulcans and Romulans at Rhodes would doom the city to failure, Christine wanted to outshine her sister. She wanted to be able to show that Padme had not done her research and had not really understood the relationship on the colony.
Christine had sat down to show that work done by T'Bil to get the information on the Klingon outpost but that just was not going to do it. Christine needed something juicy. An expose on Vulcan - Romulan history had already been done on PBS. Christine needed to a bigger hook.
Christine soon learned that Sub-Commander Amina had been protected by Professor T'tan. She needed to explore this budding friendship further. Christine put her resources in place to follow the Academy Legal Expert. She would get the evidence she needed.
The image of Sub-Commander Ihho T'Amina and Professor T'tan laying outside under the Climate Generated sun naked was definitely proof that Vulcans and Romulans could get along; at least two of them.
Saehir Marrus was furious as she watched the evening RBC editorial from Christine T'Nley. She took a shuttle up to the wej'veQ and stopped by the office of her half Romulan friend. She literally shouted, "How dare you embarass one of my young officers because of your stupid family feud with your sister? Leave us Romulans out of this."
Christine smiled, "It is just news."
"Embarrassing someone is not news.", Saehir sounded more like Nicole Branson than her Romulan self.
