Rarely Black And White Empty
PostSubject: Rarely Black And White   Rarely Black And White EmptyMon Apr 06, 2015 6:15 pm

Illyan has thus far denied any connection to Summer Lau but Summer has been spending a lot of time with Vincent as Illyan continues to lobby to replace Platform 2395 with a station.

Illyan is very nostalgic for the days of Vincent, Gavin, Illyan and Alexander and has proposed a return to the Governor's Station project started in 2380 near Izar in the First King's Fleet. Vincent has thus far been reluctant to go back. There have been many Governor's Stations throughout the last fifteen years but none have had the significance of the First or the longevity to be relevant.

Illyan believes that a rebuilt Governor's would be a symbol of Starfleet rebuilding the regional fleet relationships. Illyan has also acknowledged a similar relationship with a Betazoid regional fleet which has adopted the moniker the Betazoid Alliance and hopes to move its reputation back to the grand history of standing up to the Empire of V'Ros.

Admiral Coren and President Laree feel it is very important to distance the King's Fleet from the Hebetian Republic. The move has not been popular on the Platform with some talk that if the Federation moves ahead with its own station, the Cardassians may chose to support Platform 2395 as their own. Gul Thua'ra Varno has spoke out in support of government of Minister Garak.

The Cardassians continue their flip flopping ways by supporting Federation attacks to protect the borders but have refused to support the Federation embargo. The move has put the Tanmesad in an often difficult position because Tania is still doing some rendezvous runs with Klingon ships but has also fired on Klingon targets as part of Starfleet missions to protect the border.

In this region, things are very convoluted and the politics are rarely black and white.
