The wave flew over the colony like a white storm changing everything in its path devastating the surface and turning it into something relatively equivalent to 1920s Earth.
The immediate concern was twofold: (1) Secure the atmosphere. Tegora Vasa contacted the Governor's Mansion from one of the cathedral towers to let her know that the atmosphere was still intact. (2) keep everyone from freezing. Most citizens have never or rarely been without replication. Most citizens had little or no idea how to use a fireplace or a flew to prevent the homes from filling with smoke.
Carlisle was a cold dark place. There was no sun. The only clearly visible site in the sky was Hatherton Station. Nicole also wanted to restore contact with the fleet command. The combadges had thus far continued to function but no outside contact had been established.
Nicole had gone downtown to the refugee offices. There were many races demanding to know what had happened and what was being done about it. Nicole was speaking to a Klingon family and giving a bit of a history lesson on the buildings which resemble 1920s Earth. As she was speaking a ring could be heard. Nicole looked around, "What the hell is that noise?"
Nancy Branson-Lau looked at the black phone, "It appears to be coming from this thing."
Nicole tentatively picked up the device, "Hello?"
"Governor, thank god you are alive.", Acrylos responded.
"What happened?", Nicole asked.
"Major D'Tall and I sent a message on a temporal wavelength from Krenim space to the Alpha Quadrant. The resultant temporal wave passed over Carlisle Asteroid plunging its technology 775 years into the past. We thought you all would have been killed.", Colonel Teero explained.
"We have no reported casualties however we have a lot of training to do with these persons and we have thus far been unable to find a functioning computer.", Nicole explained.
"We have thus far been unable to transport anything other than biological matter to the surface. We can send food in wooden boxes but no technological items at all. We are sending books on life in the 1920s, food preparation and we are also sending meat and vegetables.", Acrylos offered.
"There are many mobile vehicles here. We would appreciate the knowledge to run them.", Nicole pleaded.
"The main computer room in Tower One should contain a library of books to rival the content of the computer hard drive.", Acrylos hopefully suggested, "It appears that the content has been maintained but has altered its temporal existence. This is critical because if we can restore the temporal balance, all things should be restored."
"And how long with that take?", Dr. Tegora Vasa grabbed the black handset.
"I have no idea.", Teero shook his head.
Tegora slowly hung up the phone. The thought of being trapped here was just sinking into her head. The room was very quiet.
