Commander Addison Laree was called to testify about the liberation of Betazed and some of the corrective actions of many high ranking Star Fleet officers who had previously behaved badly in their support of the office of President John Johnson and then President V'Ros who would later found the Vulcan Empire.
Addison did not want to bring Orchid to the Colony. His parents and her parents wanted her to have no part of Nicole Branson. Branson was now at the forefront of the testimony. She and Vincent took turns speaking on behalf of the tribunal with many judges not wanting to be in the forefront.
The testimony allowed Nicole and Orchid to have lunch in the courtyard and to even share some intimate conversations about their history, the last 2 years and even the little ones, Trista and Brenna.
Hearing of their little meetings, Admiral Illyan Coren and his wife Loiza made an appearance. Nicole literally had to drag Orchid from their presence in order to speak to her. Illyan was furious.
Addison's testimony lasted only for a few days. The powerful Laree family and the Coren family were very pleased to take Orchid from the colony once more. Orchid was left alone in her thoughts and with a deep wondering...
Nicole or Addison... The testimony had clearly brought her too close for comfort
