Captain Addison Laree came to Omega Prime and went to the Yang Liwei Institute to meet with Dr. Orchid Coren. He told her that she had to come back to Betazed. This was not an option. She simply needed to do it.
Orchid looked at Addison, even kissed him. She honored and respected him dearly but she was home here.
Addison looked at her, "What are you doing?"
Orchid looked at him, knowing exactly what he meant but responding very literally, "I am putting away the viral research equipment. The facility is being converted into a marine labratory. Have you seen the so-called Covington Cod?"
Addison grabbed her wrist, "Orchid, you are not making sense. This is foolish. Trista should not grow up here with these people. We are better than this."
"You used to care for me. Remember!", Addison yelled.
"We can get back there again.", Addison screamed.
Orchid pulled away, "The whales will be here soon, Captain Laree. I need to get ready."
Nicole arrived. Addison was startled. He turned to Orchid, "This is not over."
Nicole and Orchid worked well into the night to get things ready. The Liwei Institute, once used to search for viral cures is being converted to help with our "Giant Fish Problem".
