The Romulans already did not like Commander S’Nii. The Vulcan who had embraced her emotional history was so foreign to them. She had even been exiled by her own people for her emotional ways.
Many also knew her story. She had scuttled to great ships because of mistakes she had made in command. Her career was not perfect. She however was incredibly smart and very thorough technically.
She had even become very good at counseling the staff. She had made mistakes and she had made it through them. She could talk others through theirs. It was a positive step.
Several Romulans, told that they would never return to Romulus because of things that they had saw or knew needed to talk through these experiences. They however would be even more apprehensive around Commander S’Nii when Lindsay Viceroy would come about.
She had died!
Many Romulans here in the Cradol System were aware of the destruction of Romulus and Vulcan at the hands of Nero. They knew that the timeline had been altered. They knew that millions of Romulans and Vulcans had died even people they knew but the timeline had been repaired.
When they would encounter descendants of those who parished in the attacks knowing that they should not exist, could not exist, it was very hard for many to comprehend. They would go to see S’Nii who had to come to grips with the return of Commander Lindsay Viceroy and had even come to love her once more.
Time is not lineal. Time changes.
Romulans crave order and structure. These concepts are very difficult for them.
These are difficult times.
