Tchilick Tchilack has had a tough go. Imagine being a human fly like Xindi and applying to Starfleet as a pilot. The Xindi struggled to find someone to give him a chance.
Captain John Warren saw the Xindi fly a shuttle and immediately asked him to join the crew of the USS Quasar Quest. Click, as he became known, demonstrated an amazing ability to fly the large sovereign class vessel. His quick response movements with his Xindi appendages made his ability to fly the ship unparalleled.
When the King’s Fleet ceased operations, Click was once again an outcast. He was very pleased when Admiral Deveniss, a Selayan who knows a little about being an outcast asked him to re-join the King’s Fleet and take command of the USS Providence. Commander Tchilack was overjoyed at the opportunity.
His joy would soon turn sour as the Providence engaged a very well equipped K’i’T’inga Class Klingon Vessel. Click froze after being unable to speak slow enough for the Universal Transfer to first convert his Xindi tongue to Federation Standard and then to Klingon. The clicks that have become synonymous with his being left the crew bewildered and unable to respond. The frustration cost the Xindi his first command.
Commander Tchilack is not the first in the King’s Fleet to fail in command. Captain S’Nii of Vulcan was removed from command after losing the Olympia Class USS Archangel.
Click thought he was out of the King’s Fleet. He was shocked to learn that Commander Jaimie Warren had been given command of the USS Quasar Quest and was interested in the Xindi returning to the helm of the Double Q.
Click was overjoyed. He immediately requested that his long time colleague Tracklerca join him on the helm of the Quasar Quest. This was supposed to be a second celebration since returning to the King’s Fleet but it turned ugly when the Klingon K’i’T’inga Class appeared once more.
Click literally stood up from the helm. Jamie looked at the flight commander, “Commander Tchilack, to your post!”
Click turned to the Trill female. He stood there. Jamie repeated her command!
Click slowly sat down. Tracer reached over and put his hand on the hand of his oldest and dearest friend in the Fleet. Click looked at the Bzzit Khakt and then at the screen.
The Xindi looked back at Commander Warren, “Your orders, Commander?”
“Get us out of here.”, Jamie screeched.
Click looked at Tracklerca, “Run!!”
The two aliens turned around the giant Sovereign class around.
The Klingon commanding officer shouted, “bihNuch!!”
Click looked at Tracer, “I would rather be a live coward than a dead hero!”
Commander Jamie Warren laughed as the Quest lost the Klingons.
Jamie looked at Click, “Well done commander!”
Click smiled back.
