The story of the Xindi, its civil war, and its divergent biology is known to the Federation, Starfleet and the regional fleet authorities. The devastating loss of Xindus Prime as a result of the civil war left the inhabitants scattered throughout the region. Though considered members of the Federation, their influence was minimal at best.
The opportunity to improve this standing was identified by Civil Engineer Dr. Himmler Tchilack in his advisory role to the King’s Fleet facilitated by Dr. Xact Tchilack of the King’s Fleet Acedemy. This influence and the influence of personnel like Commander Tchilick Tchilack allowed the colonists to move from Reykja Penthe to Delphi Ardu V.
The existence of the colony in the Delphic Expanse was not an immediate concern but has grown into at minimum a warning from Starfleet indicating that the Marker has been responsible for the loss of some 5 Starfleet vessels and should be considered hostile.
Now with the recent annexation of the Gorn Hegemony by the Klingon Empire, there are rumors in the region that the Xindi Reptilians have been reaching out to Admiral Trochya about aligning with the King’s Fleet to protect Gorn and Reptilian heritage. With there already being links between the Xindi Insectoids and the Kings Fleet, other Xindi in the region are beginning to see the King’s Fleet as hostile as well.
Ambassador Froggoth T’Luv of the Tellarites has been trying to broker peace negotiations but she too is seen as part of the problem as the Tellarites saw their influence greatly improve by their association with the King’s Fleet. Xindi Primates and Mammals see the Insectoids as trying to assume this path to recognition in the King’s Fleet.
Both Admiral Deveniss and Fleet Captain John Warren have protested skirmishes between the XSF Clack and ships in the region stating that the Clack was not authorized to engage. Dr. Himmler Tchialck has some old biases not represented by the King’s Fleet or its leadership.
Tensions in the region continue to grow.
