Commodore Viceroy heard the news. The Phoenix Fleet would not longer be using Station Sparta, the devastating station known to the Colony for the amazing transport to the Beta Quadrant from its original home near Betazoid. This would mean that Phoenix Colony representative to New Terra, Commodore Tan of the Hierarchy would be without a job.
Commodore Tan is a valued member of the Phoenix Colony and a respected friend of Commodore Viceroy and Vice President Nicole Branson. Vincent almost instantly made call. He offered the former Destiny Station Commander the primo task of serving as Commander of Governor's Station. Vincent loved the idea of removing his former lover, Elizabeth Coren from command.
He took great pleasure in doing so. Commodore Tan agreed to join the Colony staff on condition that his Intelligence Specialist Caitlin Wu could join the station as well. Vincent wanted Tan so he would have taken anyone. Tan nor Vincent never even thought about Summer Vasa serving as Governor's Station Executive Officer. Tan and Vasa have a history. Tan and Wu have a history. The tension was very real. Vasa looked after operations for the Station and now Caitlin Wu looked after security.
Tan tried to play peacemaker but these are different times. Summer Vasa felt protected by Tan aboard Station Destiny and now Wu felt the same protected spirit of Commodore Tan.
Elizabeth Coren yelled at Vincent over the announcement but in her heart she felt relieved. Elizabeth really wanted to be the special bride of the Governor. She loved the gala scene, a big part of colony culture. She loved the pomp and circumstance of being the Governor's wife. Elizabeth did not want to give Vincent the satisfaction.
Christine had her own problems. She enjoyed supper with Cole Porter but it was not like before. He saw her for what she was; cheating with Fidelis. Christine wanted her old life back. She could not help but realize that it was her own practice of reporting on these relationships that had bit her on the ass with the Fidelis report. With Fidelis serving as Commander In Chief. She had not even seen him once. She was truly lonely.
Vincent was very happy in his office at Omega Prime and at the Academy. He was glad to free of the burden of his other roles. He enjoyed spending the evening with little Nicole Viceroy and with Bobbi-Lee Viceroy. There was no girl trouble here.
