John met the USS Flagstaff. The USS Quasar Quest served as an escort for the Flagstaff to Governor's Station. Once there, Commander Summer Vasa was far more than just an operations officer, she routed the most seriously injured to the planet below.
Captain Warren had already warned Dr. Greene of the incoming wounded. Skye had already been in contact with everyone who had a medical background. Skye had Magenta and others at the Dr. Leonard McCoy Institute trying to help get everyone taken care of.
Nicole arrived at the hospital well after Magenta. She had spent the morning dealing with the United Federation of Planets and Star Fleet over the incident and over the involvement the Phoenix Federation in treatment of Star Fleet personnel. The United Federation of Planets wanted to be certain that the assistance would not be used as a tool for leverage in the continuously ongoing negotiations between the UFP and PF.
Nicole was mortified at even the notion that she, or William Hunt would trade the care of these citizens for anything. This was not about politics or ambassadors. This was about care of individual.
Christine T'Nley came from ONN to cover the incident. She confronted Nicole on the steps of the hospital, "Are you aware that Colonel Goddard has already been in contact with the Jarada about repairing his ship and about getting back into battle?"
"I am aware of no such thing.", Nicole responded.
"Are you also aware that General Larle has asked for an emergency session of the Phoenix Colony Parliament claiming that the Phoenix Colony is now harbouring war criminals. The Klingon General, Dr. Chikace Larle has been made aware that Colonel Steven Goddard and his 4 ship Beta Battlegroup attacked the Klingons in the Beta Quadrant?", T'Nley tried to force Nicole onto the spot.
"That is a question better served for Governor Eugenio Coren.", Nicole was quite proud of herself to deflecting the question to the Governor.
Nicole went back inside and contacted Vincent, "Can you check on these allegation?"
"Already in progress, madam Vice President. I was watching ONN as well.", Viceroy responded.
'This may be a question best routed through Fleet Admiral Veltkamp. The Mayor of the Village remains the Phoenix Federation Star Fleet Liaison officer.", Viceroy explained.
"I don't care who you have to ask, just find out if this Goddard is for real or if he is some kind of zealot.", Nicole was growing more impatient. The colony was only trying to help.
"I will get back to you, Nicole.", Vincent responded.
Nicole looked through the window into the operating theatre. Many of these casualties were in serious shape. If Goddard had simply picked a fight with the Klingons in some bizarre marine battle cry, this was the price he paid.
