Who Shot Tim Veltkamp – Tacita Teero shot Tim Veltkamp... Empty

Vincent was more concerned about the fire at Vorta'Rome, their second such fire at the Romulan Omega Molecule Research Facility when he called the meeting. He had spent the morning with Commander Acrylos Teero. The pair had made a horrid discovery.

With D'Tall of Orion, the student president being assigned to Deep Space 15, the role of Student Speaker who would address the crowd upon the arrival of Admiral Tim Veltkamp was empty. In a bind, Commander Acrylos Teero arranged for his niece Tacita Teero, a close friend of then Rear Admiral Nicole Branson (they even dated) to speak to the students. Tacita was given access to Admiral Veltkamp.

It would be Sgt. Leo's incredibly good police work and promotion worthy efforts that pointed out the tragectory the phaser blast that hit Admiral Veltkamp in the shoulder could only have come from the student speaking platform.

Commander Martin Evans, the Police Commissioner would also have input in the explanation and the DNA testing that was necessary to prove the Tacita Teero had fired the weapon that hit Admiral Veltkamp.

A search, okayed by Commodore June Davenport, revealed that Tacita Teero is a card carrying member of the United Federation of Purists and had written several dissertations attacking Admiral Veltkamp's support of the USS / CGV Tanmesad project and support of the Cardassian Democratic Government and furthermore his support of Vice Admiral Nicole Branson who had put her sister Tiara in jail for the UFP murders on the Colony.

The truth is Tacita knew nothing of the impending attack on Sigma Station Alpha. She did not care about Jem'Hadar. Admiral Vincent Viceroy confirms that the time of the attack on Admiral Veltkamp was coordinated by Star Fleet command and the schedule had been provided to the shuttle pilot by Star Fleet Intelligence. Admiral Viceroy was not prepared to make a formal link but the schedule was provided by Star Fleet Intelligence, notoriously and forever linked to Sector 31 whom also has expressed its anger over the improving relations with Cardassia.

I would like to believe that Star Fleet would not have allowed Admiral Veltkamp to be shot in order to further the hatred between the Federation and Cardassia and to start a bitter cold war with the Dominion in Cardassian Territory. The truth is we can never know.

Sgt. Leo arrested Tacita Teero this morning. Tacita confirmed that she too was in a relationship with T'Liama of Romulus and the pair had played Nicole Branson like fiddle in order to create the attack on Sigma Station Alpha and to facilitate the attack on Admiral Veltkamp. The revelation hurt Nicole badly. She had only been let out of the hospital this morning and to find out that not only T'Liama but Tacita had been playing her was devastating.

Christine just shook her head. This is Nicole's fault. She brought this on us.

Acrylos was horribly embarrassed. Tacita was his niece and she and Tiara had ripped the colony to its core by attacking the Fleet Commander in Chief and inciting the United Federation of Purists. Acrylos offered his resignation on the spot.

Vincent would have none of that. We were all manipulated. The Admiral is alive and well. Nicole is back in charge of the colony. Vincent looked at the command staff.

Mission II: Who Shot Admiral Veltkamp is now over. Tacita Teero shot Admiral Veltkamp. The real problem now exists.

The following sub-space message was received from Vorta'Rome, the Third City on the Omega Planet after their second fire.

Message:

The Romulan High Command acknowledges that the Omega Reactor is on fire. The Romulan High Command assures Vice Admiral Nicole Branson that the Reactor Core remains stablized and the fire is being controlled at this time.

Further details will be provided as they are made available.

This message would not have been that bad. The Reactor has already caught fire once before but the encrypted attachment provided by Commander Ael ch'Havran of Governor's Station orbiting above is what worries us...
