Christine was trying to get a shot of Nicole in the hospital for the evening subspace broadcast but she learned that Dr. Greene had placed Nicole in protective custody. The only thing she could get confirmed is that Nicole is in the psychiatric ward. Damn, wouldn't it be great to get a shot of her in a hospital gown with the pschiatric ward door sign in the picture.
Christine was walking down the hall when she saw Admiral Veltkamp, full dressed. His arm remained immobilized but he was certainly up and running. Christine turned to her staff, "Don't screw this up. We can get the infamous statement from the Admiral."
Christine and her staff rushed up to the Admiral, "Admiral Veltkamp, do you have anything to say to the Omega Fleet, to the Colonists and to the citizens of the Omega Fleet Protected Territories?"
''The only thing the terroists have done is that they have awakened us, they may have given us a bloody nose but we will survive'', he said.
Christine looked at Admiral Veltkamp, "Do you have any comment on losing Sigma Station Alpha to a Jem'Hadar Attack? Do you feel the Omega Fleet has let the colonist down?"
Tim waited for a few seconds ''Sigma Station Alpha was caught by surprise, I'm sure they did what ever they could have done, and no Omega Fleet hasn't let the colonists down, there is already an other station above the planet'', he said.
Christine looked puzzled. Veltkamp was unflappable. He was a strong leader. She thought she could catch him off guard. He refused to be made to look out of control.
Christine looked at Admiral Veltkamp, "Do you think the Station was lost because Vice Admiral Nicole Branson is an incompetent, Lesbian art student who should never have been given command in the first place?"
Christine went for the jugular. Admiral Veltkamp must respond now.
''Vice Admiral Nicole Branson is a fine commanding officer, ok, she may have made some mistakes, but that doesn't mean that im ready to get rid of her'', he said in a calm voice.
Christine looked at Tim and snarled. She turned to the camera, "This has been Christine T'Nley reported live from the Dr. Leonard McCoy Teaching Hospital on the Omega Colony."
Christine turned back, "Off the record, Admiral. Nicole is an idiot. She punched me in the damn face. She is not fit for command. You need to see. Admiral Vincent Viceroy needs to see. I will not rest until she is finished."
Tim slightly smiled ''Then you will not rest.''
He said in a calm but firm voice as he walked away.
