The Work Never Ends Empty
PostSubject: The Work Never Ends   The Work Never Ends EmptySat Aug 07, 2010 9:34 pm

The pipeline is considered one of the most unpopular projects in the history of the colony. Moving unprocessed Omega Sand from Boston, Tokyo and Osaka to Omega Prime for the processing into Dilithium means the loss of key jobs in the cities. The processing jobs are simply eliminated downsizing the plants in order to route material to a megaproject in the capital.

The project has been on-going for a while but with the darkness of the EMP attack, the project has been put on the front burner. Today, Vincent and Acrylos stood together in front of the massive facility. Worse yet, they stood with Bill Clinton.

Mr. Clinton had been the backbone of the Boston Plant and had become engrained in the Bajoran population but today he accepts a new job as plant manager in Omega Prime.

Vincent had just returned from Governor's Station to make the announcement. Bill, Acrylos and Vincent stood in front of the building. Acrylos looked at Clinton, "Light her up."

Bill smiled. He remembered those few hours after the EMP incident when the colony was in total darkness. Now with the colony running about 41% capacity, Bill was about to fix all that.

Bill tapped a remote switch bringing the behemoth to life.

Bill looked around the great city as the city sprang to life. The eerie looking migrant worker raised his palm. Acrylos looked at Bill puzzled. Vincent laughed, "Its called a high five, Bajoran."

Vincent slapped his open hand into Bill's, "Oh yes!"

The colony was alive once more. Bill started to walk towards the crowd. In Omega Prime, this was hugely popular. Colby ran from Elora and jumped into his arms, "Did you fix the lights, Dad?"

She never looked at him for his weird Migrant appearance. She only looked at him as the man who came home and tucked her in at night.

"Yes, sweetie, the lights are on and gonna stay on now.", Bill laughed touching her nose with his long fingers.

Elora and Nicolas walked over. Bill took her hand and walked over to the bus. He was gonna move into an N for Nicole row house. Tomorrow, he had to work... Here in Omega Prime.
