The proposal developed by Acrylos Teero to molecularize the Omega Sands and then pass them through the wormhole and distribute them through space without the need to load the Dilithium on supply ships was miraculous.
It would eliminate the need to use the King's Fleet vessels as supply ships and would also limit the exposure to Cardassian Raiders. It would also restore control over distribution of the Omega Sands back to Ephyra and its government. The problem is many Bajorans have a tremendous fear over contamination of the womhole.
They are not prepared to risk exposing the prophets to danger or worse providing energy to the Pah Wraiths. Large protest movements have already begun to form.
This is a good idea but convincing everyone is the task at hand for the inhabitants of the Ephyra Colony.
