Nicole came home to find Orchid and Trista all packed up and Brenna there crying. Orchid had just told the little girl that she was leaving. Brenna was bawling, "But you are my other mommy."
Nicole was deeply hurt. Orchid looked at Nicole, "I am so sorry."
"My father will take us in and give us a normal, Federation life. It is just too dangerous here. The temporal travel only serves as an example of just how chaotic life here is. This is no place to raise a child.", Orchid screamed right in front of Brenna.
"I have to go.", Orchid picked up the baby and headed for the door.
Like the once great fledgling alliance, the unions on the colony are torn apart by the move. This is a very dark time.
Nicole slumped to the ground in tears. Brenna came and sat on her lap. They cried together.
