Are you ready for this?”, Deveniss looked at Vincent.
“We are as ready as we are gonna get. The Vader’s Lady is damaged. The Cardassians are not loyal to Emperor Devreon and we have the Eagle and the John Paul. It is not going to be easy but we are ready to go,”, Vincent responded.
President LaBarbara was standing on the bridge of Federation One. He looked at Walter, “They are really engaging the Empire?”
Admiral Wilson looked at the human President, “Yes, Mr. President.”
“Vincent is a good man.”, Earl looked at Walter.
“He is.”, Walter reluctantly acknowledged.
President LaBarbara watched as the Quasar Quest moved on the damaged but still huge Vader’s Lady. John Warren is a bit of a legend in Starfleet rising to near Kirkian status before entering the mirror universe and nearly costing everyone everything. He has since restored his honour fighting with the King’s Fleet and protecting the plucky group of colonists.
As the Double Q pummeled the flagship of the Imperial occupation, the King’s Fleet Marines started dropping from the sky to liberate Cardassia. Earl watched in amazement as these moves were played out in careful tactical succession.
Finally, the President turned to Admiral Wilson, “Liberate Cardassia.”
Walter looked at Earl, “Are you sure?”
“Stop the Imperials at all costs, Admiral.”, President LaBarbara ordered.
“Yes, Mr. President.”, Admiral Wilson grabbed the conn.
John gasped as dozens of Starfleet vessels dropped out of warp. Suddenly five little ships became an armada. Suddenly 4000 Marines became an expeditionary force.
There is no way to sugar coat the results. Emperor Amero Devreon who tried to gather the remnants of the Galactic Empire to rebel against President Leia Organa Solo was killed by Cardassian loyalists in Lakaria City and the Imperials were totally overrun.
Admiral Rence Devreon and the command staff of the ISD Vader’s Lady were captured by the command staff of USS Quasar Quest and mighty Star Destroyer was scuddled into the Badlands. The Federation wanted no evidence of the Imperials or their occupation of Cardassia and Bajor.
President LaBarbara was standing on the bridge of Federation One when Governor Branson and Admiral Viceroy arrived. LaBarbara looked at Vincent, “Load the Imperials on a cargo shuttle and drop it into the Badlands.”
“But they will all die.”, Nicole interrupted.
“They should never have lived. This was a mistake.”, LaBarbara looked at Branson.
Nicole snapped, “We have more than 20000 inhabitants who were serving on the four Imperial ships and one Capital ship when the Rift closed. Should we load them on shuttles too?”
“Don’t tempt me Branson!”, LaBarbara snapped.
“Do it, Mr. President. Give the order.”, Nicole snarled, “As soon as you do I will be on FBN with Christine T’Nley and we will reveal the whole event, the reorganization of the King’s Fleet and the fact that you ordered the deaths of innocents.”
“So what do you propose?”, LaBarbara grumbled.
Branson looked at Vincent, “We will take them as refugees. They can join us.”
Vincent looked at Nicole, “Admiral Rence Devreon just watched Cardassians kill his father. You expect him to join us?”
“We will tell him the alternative.”, Branson announced.
Branson looked at Wilson, “We will offer him a command and his people will follow.”
“Command of what?”, Wilson snapped.
“The USS Helio’s Chariot. You stole that ship from the King’s Fleet anyway.”, Nicole snarled
“So let me understand this. This man led your enemy to two major victories including brutal occupations of Bajor and Cardassia and you want to give him a heavily armed Cheyenne Class starship.”, Wilson could not believe Branson.
“We know he is a good leader and a good commander.”, Branson responded.
“Spending too much time with Caitian women has ruined your mind.”, Wilson snapped.
“What makes you so certain he will follow Warren as your Task Force Commander?”, Wilson was not going to back down.
“He is a career military man groomed in a powerful military machine. He will want to succeed in the new reality.”, Branson offered.
“Would you fight for your enemy?”, Wilson grumbled.
“I came out of reassignment to fight for you.”, Nicole reminded Wilson that it was Starfleet that reached out to her and Viceroy to deal with the Multiverse Rift.
